Brandon Knight Severely Sprained His Left Ankle

It’s been a rough couple of days for Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Knight—he left last night‘s 103-90 loss to the Utah Jazz with a badly sprained left ankle. Per the Detroit News: “The Pistons guard writhed in pain underneath the basket less than five minutes into Monday’s game against the Utah Jazz, after he was fouled by Randy Foye on a fast break. He re-injured his left ankle, spraining it and will not return for the rest of the evening. One night after becoming a household name for all the wrong reasons — when the Clippers’ DeAndre Jordan made a poster of Knight with a dunk in Sunday’s embarrassing loss, Knight was intent on making amends, for himself and his teammates. He didn’t get much of a chance, as he was helped by Arnie Kander and teammate Corey Maggette to the locker room, unable to put any weight on the ankle. Due to league rules, since he was unable to shoot the subsequent free throws he was prohibited from re-entering the game anyway.”
