Heat Strongly Considering Re-signing Juwan Howard

Sources tell Yahoo! that the Heat are giving strong consideration to signing Juwan Howard, who would provide a veteran presence on Miami’s bench: “The Miami Heat are strongly considering signing 40-year-old forward Juwan Howard, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. After playing the past two years with the Heat, Howard has remained unsigned this season. He has stayed in shape and has been working out throughout the season. The Heat created a roster spot at the trade deadline, sending Dexter Pittman to the Memphis Grizzlies for a trade exception. Howard had been a respected leader on the Heat and was popular with teammates, coaches and management. He played sparingly in three Miami playoff victories on the way to his first championship ring in 2012.”

    …Why?

  • spit hot fiyah

so we can see him dance like it’s still ’88 after they win another chip

if i was Juwan, id just retire as a champ from last season. if i was running Heat, id look at someone else to sign (TMac maybe no)

TMac wouldn’t get minutes behind James and can’t play defense, that won’t slide in the playoffs.. c’mon man use your head that would be a horrible sign

For a reported 12-year deal worth $39.99. Act now and we’ll throw in another past favorite like: Mike Bibby or Tony Battie
