Jamal Crawford Out With Ankle Sprain

The LA Clippers lost to the Denver Nuggets 107-92 last night, playing without an injured Jamal Crawford. The guard has a sore left ankle. Per the LA Times: “I rolled it in the second quarter last night,’ Crawford said about Wednesday night’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks at Staples Center. ‘Man!’ The Clippers don’t play again until Sunday against the Detroit Pistons at home, which gives Crawford two more days to get therapy. ‘I’ll be good,’ he said. Crawford is the second-leading scorer on the Clippers, averaging 17.2 points a game. He has led the team in scoring 19 times, the second-highest on the team. ‘He’s played really well,’ Coach Vinny Del Negro said. ‘That’s part of it. You’ve got to manage the schedule. You’ve got to handle the injuries. That’s all part of it. We’ve had our fair share of injuries, for sure, but other guys have got to step up. … The ankle was pretty sore after the flight last night with the back-to-back,’ Del Negro said. ‘He’s getting a lot of therapy.'”
