According to Knicks head coach Mike Woodson, his squad is hoping that the Miami Heat keep winning games until their battle next week. New York wants a crack at stopping the defending champs’ historic winning streak (now at 27 games.) Per the NY Post: “The South Beach showdown is one week away but Mike Woodson is hoping the Miami Dream Team is coming in with a 30-game win streak. If the Knicks could end Miami’s near historic streak, now that would turn Pat Riley’s hair completely gray. ‘They’re playing at such a high level, nobody is coming close to beating them,’ Woodson said. ‘It would be nice. Their streak could end. They’re playing two good teams (beforehand) . (But if) they’re undefeated and we go into Miami, hopefully we can be the team to break their streak.’”
