Rip Hamilton’s Season Could Be Over Due to Back Injury

According to Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau, Richard Hamilton may not play again this season because of his back injury. Per the Chicago Tribune: “‘There’s an unknown,’ Thibodeau said. ‘It’s a back, so those things are tricky. We’ll just have to wait and see.’ Hamilton missed his ninth straight game. The veteran guard was a surprise late scratch before the Feb. 28 home game against the 76ers after scoring six points in 18 minutes on Feb. 26 against the Cavaliers. Hamilton has missed 59 of 132 games since signing his two-year, $10 million deal, which carries a $1 million buyout for next season’s team option.”

    We’re getting thin in depth.

Why did we even sign Rip? He was always a poor man’s Reggie Miller and now he not that good anymore

5 mill a year fro someone who could shoot threes and run of screens all day and who wasn’t washed up before signing the deal is not that bad. seems like it’s been injury after injury since landing in the chi though

he was never a great 3 point shooter.

  • Redd

Well he was obviously old and declining plus our medical staff sucks. Seemed obvious to not get him to me.

not really an issue for the Bulls to be honest with the emergence of Jimmy Butler. He will be gone next season no doubt

    I say sign Tracy McGrady!

I agree. I always thought of Rip as having a killer mid-range game.

did i say he was great? he could shoot it, that’s all i said. he was in the contest for whatever that is worth

he was never really good either really. He was coming off those screens for mid range jumpers within that 3 point line, the way reggie wud from beyond the 3 point line

i have no clue why hes still in the league

  • Xena

The same reason why Roy, Walton, Wilkins, Stackhouse, Kidd, etc………………………. are still in the league.

Dude, have you taken a look at those chicks? All of them a fugly.

  • SWIFTSLICK7

He was washed up before the deal, the Bulls just didn’t see it. His decline was apparent, if it wasn’t Detroit would have kept him.

  • Stainless

    he’s in his happy place
