Cavaliers Reportedly Interested in Hiring Mike Brown Again

With Byron Scott no longer in the picture, the Cleveland Cavaliers are in the market for a new head coach. According to multiple reports, the Cavs could turn back to their old bench boss. Mike Brown, who recently moved his family back to the Cleveland area, says he’s all ears. Per the Plain Dealer: “Former Cavaliers coach Mike Brown hasn’t been contacted by the Cavs but he’d listen if they called, he said in a telephone interview on Thursday night. ‘If anybody calls, you have to listen,” said Brown, who was fired by the Lakers just five games into this season. ‘I’m not rushing to get back to [coaching]. Whether it’s the Cavs situation or anybody else, it has to feel right for both sides. If they call, I wouldn’t hang up the phone. I’d definitely listen to what anybody has to say. But then you have to decide if it’s the right situation for myself, my family and the organization.” Brown, a defensive specialist who was the 2009 NBA coach of the year, is the all-time winningest coach by percentage in Cavs history, with a 272-138 record in five seasons and led the team to its only NBA Finals appearance in 2007. He was hired by the Lakers in 2011 to replace the retiring Phil Jackson and led the Lakers to a 41-25 lead in the strike-shortened 2011-12 season, then was let go when the team started 1-4 this season. He is owed about $8 million from the Lakers.”

Lmao bet lame lakers fans are the ones talking crap, remember this coach is the same person that was able to coach a one man team to the finals. But then again LeBron is 10 x better than Kobe so you can make the argument here.
