Jarrett Jack Fined $25,000 for Verbally Abusing Refs

The NBA announced that they’re docking $25K from Jarrett Jack’s paycheck, after he cussed out the refs at the conclusion of the Golden State Warriors’ 118-116 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night. Per the Contra Costa Times: “Jack was visibly upset at the officiating and let the refs hear it after the horn sounded. Several calls went against the Warriors down the stretch. Stephen Curry was called for a foul fighting through a screen, leading to free throws for Steve Blake. Jack was knocked to ground while coralling a loose ball but no foul was called. Klay Thompson appeared to have been fouled on a fast-break layup but didn’t get the whistle. The Warriors were whistled for 33 fouls, leading to 50 free throw attempts by the Lakers. Los Angeles was whistled for 17 fouls, leading to 16 Warriors free throws.”

he must not have gotten the memo..Stern needs lakers in the playoffs. $$$$

I’ll say this not just as a Warriors fan, but as NBA fan, this game clearly was decided way B4 the game started. If Stern didn’t need the Lakers in the playoff this game would have been a blow-out. But as we all know the Refs got a call from Stern…

It has got nothing to do with what kind of run you have … see the game and decide for yourself … it is hilarious … this is sport or Money making machine ….

Shame on the refs … i can forgive couple of calls cause it happens all the time but this was a disgrace …… couple of clowns in stripes deciding a game ….

yeah, the Knicks know all about DEEP playoff runs lol. Can’t even get out of the 1st round

then once more for the slow people among us: make yourself a name and you get those calls. unfortunately a deep playoff run is more or less the only thing players on a team with less media coverage or small markets can do to get that kind of treatment.
and yes, the knicks roster is full of proven stars, guys who all had deep playoff runs or even won a championship. that knicks team has nothing to do with all those horrible squads we had in the last cecade.

and why did you bring up the knicks anyway? that team wasnt content of any post or topic here

it inderectly has. as i wrote above: teams with less media coverage or smaller markets in general have that problem that they dont get the same treatment as big names straightaway. it has always been like that in the nba, players dont get fair calls if they didnt earn a reputation as good players / stars, etc. so the only thing these teams can do is do win constantly, especially in the playoffs. the thunder didnt get their “special” “fair” however you want to call it treatment straightaway. neither did the spurs back then or any player or squad.
