Jr Smith Suspended One Game For Elbowing Jason Terry

Not much of a surprise here: JR Smith will miss Sunday’s Game 4 after clocking Jason Terry with an elbow late in Game 3. Via the NY Times: “J.R. Smith’s road to redemption was never going to be a simple, straight line. It was destined to be jagged, full of potholes and perilous hairpin turns. There were bound to be detours, even now, in the midst of his finest season. On Friday night, Smith decked Boston’s Jason Terry with an elbow to the chin — a momentary lapse that could cost the Knicks a chance to sweep their first-round series. The N.B.A. announced Saturday that it had suspended Smith for Game 4. So the Knicks, who have dominated the Celtics for three games in part because of the dynamic play of Smith, their second-leading scorer, will take the court Sunday without him. The announcement came at 9 p.m., several hours after the Knicks held their daily session with the news media. Smith was not made available to reporters.”
