Rasheed Wallace Has Officially Retired (Again)

It’s been real, Sheed. Via the New York TimesHoward Beck:

Here’s more on ‘Sheed’s retirement, per the Knicks’ PR: “Rasheed has given this team everything he had,’ Head Coach Mike Woodson said. ‘He is a winner, true professional and leader, on and off the court. Due to his injury, he will not be available to play for us during the playoffs.’ [...] EVP, Basketball Operations & GM Glen Grunwald announced that the team has signed center Earl Barron.”

thats kinda sad. the teams owes much of its success this year to old sports like him and especially to him early in the season. i wish he couldve been in for a playoff ride.
