Derek Fisher Fined $5,000 for Role in Double-Flop

The NBA slapped Derek Fisher with a $5K fine for taking part in last week’s amazing double-flop against the Houston Rockets: “The Oklahoma City Thunder’s Derek Fisher has been fined $5,000 for violating the league’s anti-flopping rules during the Rockets vs. Thunder game on May, 1.”

Is this really the first fine this playoffs for flopping?
    I’ve seen countless of flops.
If you’re gonna make rules to punish it, than enforce them aswell.

I bet Stern buys hookers with the flop cash.

Clearly the NBA reads Slamonline and saw my post from yesterday!

Seriously tho, they need to get these rules in order. The play was called an offensive foul in the game, but now it’s being called a flop. Does Asik get to truck Fisher without consequence nest season? Forget the stupid fine and teach the refs to call what actually happens and stop falling for theatrics. actually do both, have the refs ignore the flop AND fine them later.

This is where the fining etc. should be ramped up – let the players jaw and do big balls dancing all they want but hit em hard for floppery. That clip is disgraceful – play like men.

I’d love to watch Asik level Fisher.
