Eric Gordon Had Left Ankle Surgery

The New Orleans Pelicans — yes, that’s what we’re calling this team now — announced today that shooting guard Eric Gordon had a procedure done on his left ankle. Gordon missed the first two months of the season due to a right knee injury, but still led N.O. in scoring with 17 per night in 42 games. Here’s the press release: “The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that guard Eric Gordon underwent a successful arthroscopic procedure yesterday in his left ankle to alleviate pain caused by particles of scar tissue. The procedure was performed by Dr. Richard Ferkel of the Kerlan-Jobe Clinic in Los Angeles, CA. Gordon is currently recovering from the procedure and will begin rehabilitation immediately while returning to basketball activities later in the summer.”

I never understand how they can deem a surgery “successful” before the person even gets a chance to test their body and see how it responds to the surgery..

that would be related to if rehab was successful. surgery would not be successful is something went wrong during the actual procedure.

As long as they don’t accidentally cut off his leg it’s successful

    Curry’s ankles are legendary ….

Amnesty the remaining 45 million on his contract and recruit a few solid mid level guys ( tony Allen, will Bynum, Andre blatche), keep Vasquez and pay one killer scorer. That changes the culture and upgrades talent without going over the cap.

they can’t amnesty him because he was signed to his contract after the amnesty provision wasmade available. He’s not eligible to be amnestied. So it’s either trade him or keep him.
