Chris Bosh Says Danny Green Won’t Be Open in Game 6

After watching Danny Green rain in a record-breaking 25 three-pointers through five NBA Finals games (in just 38 attempts), the Miami Heat have at last vowed to put a body on the San Antonio Spurs’ sharpshooter. Chris Bosh says Green won’t get nearly as many open looks tonight in Game 6 as he’s grown accustomed to. Per NBA.com: “He has a knack for shooting, but he won’t be open tonight,’ Chris Bosh said after the Heat’s shootaround at AmericanAirlines Arena on Tuesday. ‘We’ll see how he shoots it when somebody’s always on him.’ Bosh said that the Heat don’t have to make any adjustments to defend Green better in Game 6. ‘It’s just doing what we do,’ Bosh said. ‘Last game, we didn’t do what we normally do. Guys were open and made shots. They move the ball too well to have defensive lapses. So we’re going to have to trust what we do.’”

He Might not hit another three in the series.

  • Lol i doubt it Bosh because Wade has been lazy as hell on defense the entire series

Green was hitting from 3 ft from the 3 point line . Alot of the time they were on him and he just jumps over them in .3 seconds. There is always Neal who can hit 3′s too. Curious on what tricks Popovich has for this game. It’s like watching a chess game with him on his line ups. Hope Spurs close the deal tonight. Heat will be very tough.

chris bosh needs to stop talking and needs to start hooping.

No one can touch Danny Green’s shot; his shot is so damn pretty. He’s like a carbon copy of Ray Allen minus the driving to the lane, the midrange game..minus everything but that three pt stroke wooo so pretty

Pop already anticipated that during the last game. So another Spurs player will be open tonight.

Be afraid LeBron and co. Be very, very afraid.

    Lazy or hurt?

Gary Neal is licking his chops.

“He has a knack for shooting” Like what else is a 3 point specialist shooting guard supposed to have a knack for? Eating Funyons?

Could be both. But I think the shot that broke (or tied) the record you could clearly see that Wade could’ve contested the shot better had he got back on D quicker.

    Lazy

Making funny youtube videos to get more all-star votes.

There were more than a few plays like that where DG was wide open because Wade/Bron decided to jog back.. IN A FINALS GAME!!

  • lights out

probably a little bit of both, but i think it’s mostly that star players who are asked to carry a lot of the scoring load can only do so much with guys who work primarily off the ball. which is why ray allen used to give the lakers (kobe) and the heat (wade) fits.

If danny green isn’t open, then ginobli, neal, and parker will be open.

  • Mr Bones

Four of Green’s six 3pt makes in the last game were contested shots.

  • spit hot fiyah

whatever it is it shouldn’t make him complain to the ref after a no call so that the spurs get a 5 on 4

  • RayJr

Green isn’t a fluke so he is going to get his tonight. The Heat need to concentrate on not letting SA go on big runs and not get layups to end quarters.

  • JoeMaMa

Danny Green is a release valve in that offence – his role has been to make the Heat pay for doubling on Parker and Duncan. The only thing is, he’s been a killer 4th option. THE killer 4th option. There are NO plays run for him – he provides spacing and shooting so that the primary options (Parker, Duncan…Ginobili?) So if Miami bodies up Green, they’re going to give A LOT of room for Parker/Duncan to operate. Seeing as how Cole and Chalmers can’t guard him, Wade’s too old, and Lebron struggles against him as well…I’m not sure, here. I think Bosh is just talking brashly. Because sticking a man tightly on Green in that offence…I don’t see it.

  • Zabbah

True say. The man was just on fire. I just hope he doesn’t do what Ray Allen did the last time he was in the Finals, which was break two Finals record.

  • Bruce Wayne

Some true points, but Wade too old? How old do you think he is?

  • fruizm

    Minus “He Got Game”!!

  • Brandon Allen

    Guess he was right…

  • MUBWAR

    loooool tru

  • umi

and he blocked Green in the end.

  • RayJr

Foul or not at the end on OT, but Bosh made sure it didn’t happen.
