NBA Regular Season Games to Be Played in London and Mexico City

The League is expanding its reach into global markets — NBA regular season games will be played in London and Mexico City next season. Per the AP: “The San Antonio Spurs are set to play the Minnesota Timberwolves at Mexico City Arena on Dec. 4, and the Atlanta Hawks and Brooklyn Nets will meet at The O2 in London next Jan. 16. The NBA said Tuesday it’s the first time regular-season games in two countries outside of the United States and Canada will be played in the same season. In March, the league announced eight preseason games would be played in several countries from Oct. 5-18.”

Mexican fans will be more passionate/knowledgeable about the game…

Londoners will continue to be themselves.

    What about Pallet Town?

Better not be the Lakers. Send some flashy young and upcoming teams that can get more fans and can take the fatigue if it must be done.

Mexico makes sense, London doesn’t. Stern’s idea to expand the NBA overseas is going too far. Adam Silver would be wise to kill any talks of actually putting NBA teams in Europe. The timezone changes and travel time would be a nightmare. Even for regular season games.
