Nuggets Sign JJ Hickson to Three-Year, $15 Million Deal

The Nuggets have had a bit of a rough off-season—losing their best player (Andre Iguodala) and firing their coach (George Karl)—but they aren’t done making moves just yet, as the Nugs have signed big man JJ Hickson to a three-year, $15 million contract. Per Yahoo!: “The Denver Nuggets have agreed on a three-year, $15 million-plus contract with free agent J.J. Hickson, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. Denver will give Hickson, a 6-foot-9 forward-center, the annual full mid-level exception of approximately $5 million, plus the 4.5 percent annual bonuses allowed per the Collective Bargaining Agreement, sources said. The Nuggets lost free-agent forward Andre Iguodala to the Golden State Warriors on a four-year, $48 million deal. Denver GM Tim Connelly is still working to get an agreement with restricted free agent center Timofey Mozgov, sources said.”
