Utah Jazz Ink Summer League Standout Ian Clark

Ian Clark, who took home MVP honors in the Summer League title game, has signed a two-year deal with the Utah Jazz. Per USA Today: “Summer League star Ian Clark signs a two-year deal with the Utah Jazz, his agent Bill Duffy says. Team option on year two.”

Low risk signing. It had its critics, but I quite enjoyed the new format of the summer league, with the championship etc.

He got range. its funny though the announcers for summer league kept saying I like the new format, it makes guys play harder cause of the championship. if this is making guys play harder and not the fact they are trying to fight there way into the NBA something is wrong

it did earn dude a contract, he averaged like 9 points before blowing up in the championship game

Yeah, that’s a good point actually. I’d go ham against a 5 year old on an 8 foot hoop if it would help me get into the NBA, these guys shouldn’t need any more incentive.

Jazz just got a great player who can shoot the lights out, play good defense and also lead team at the point. Congratulations Jazz brass because while some teams pick under-achievers and hope, you pick over-achievers and thus will be the surprise of the West. Ian is a stud. You just took a giant leap in the Jazz Legacy, July of 2013.
