Damian Lillard Visits EA Sports (PHOTOS)

The ROY has his first-ever mo-cap shoot for NBA Live 14.

NBA Live is back. “I was a fan of it as a kid—that was the game I played,” Dame Lillard told SLAM last week. “It kinda went away for a minute but I’m excited to see what they bring to the table.”

The 2013 ROY stopped by the EA Sports studio in Orlando for an in-depth motion capture session. The LIVE team took Damian’s movements, translated them into wireframes and then put it into their animation tool to replicate his exact, real-life movement in NBA LIVE 14. Check out some behind-the-scenes pictures and short video from Lillard’s day at EA.

NBA LIVE 14 will be available later this year for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Preorder today, and be sure to check the NBA LIVE website, Facebook and Twitter for updates throughout the summer.

Isn’t this game meant to drop in 2-3 months? I am not very knowledgeable within the game development process, but you would think they would already be past the mo-cap stage and focusing on making sure the game is perfect.

2k pretty much made sure that EA’s core fans never heard of em.
