Dwyane Wade’s Divorce Reportedly Could Cost $10 Million

Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade has settled with his ex-wife for $5 million, but the total cost of the legal proceedings could double that figure. Per the Miami Herald: “Two of the dozen or so lawyers in two states involved with Wade’s split from high school sweetheart Siohvaughn Funches say that the past few months in the six-year battle would undoubtedly make the meter reach that figure. ‘We were at about $8 million last year,’ said one lawyer who asked not to be named. ‘He’s paying more for lawyers than what he is paying his wife for the settlement. It was a complicated case, but it may have become personal.’ (Sources say) D-Wade has been paying for his and Funches’ attorneys from a special bank account funded partly with a small portion of his Heat salary, and partly with endorsements. There have been several appeals in the case, and Wade’s pending defamation lawsuit against Funches, which also ran up the tab.”

Divorces r so 1 sided financially.

  • My name isn’t Siohvaughn

Neither of their parents should have been in charge of spelling their names. First of all, how do you turn Dewayne into Dwyane? Then…Siohvaughn? In all seriousness, there is no way in hell that should be someone’s name. You put that name on a legitimate application or resume and they will laugh you out of the building.

It is worth it, if one has the means. In my opinion.
Everyone deserves the chance to be happy.
If it costs millions of dollars to buy one’s happiness, then, so be it.
Hell, Jordan paid what, 150 million dollars?
    Worth it.

She deserves the money, he should have just given her about 5 to 10 million from the start. She took care of the kids while he was working/college to NBA and he had no worries about them. She probably thought and he did maybe too, that they were going to be married the rest of their lives, because of them knowing each other since High School. Wade wanted something better and upgraded, but she is upset because she was with him when he was nothing, but a wannabe NBA player. He got to the NBA and got brand new. Wade should give her the money and move on with his life, since she was once his love more than anything. Hurt makes people so wrong on things, both ways.

Naw cat, but a man got to be in touch with his smooth side. It has helped me with the ladies in the past. Just got to understand, from both view points. Wade got cash, she gave up her life for him, now since she has been replaced, she wants hers. I agree, Wade pay the woman. BOOK IT!!
