LeBron James Gets Police Escort to Jay Z, Justin Timberlake Concert (VIDEO)

Riding on the wrong side of the street.

LeBron James received some VIP service while commuting to the Legends of the Summer concert Friday night. From the back seat of the car, James nonchalantly said, “Light police escort on the wrong side of the street. Headed to the big homie concert. JT. Holla.”

Jay Z and Justin Timberlake share the same audience.

    That’s hilarious.

Glad to see taxpayer’s money being used well.

  • Yea

Nothing wrong with cross marketing. That’s how you get new fans.

I like how Police Officers abuse their powers like this.

  • The Seed

What a waste of police time, especially in crazy Miami.

  • XB55

    Lebron pays tax.

  • Ugh

And here’s me thinking you get new fans by continually making better and better music. How naive I am!

Not really my point, though. My point is that this ‘cross marketing’ that you speak of reveals Jay-Z and Timberlake to not be as far apart in terms of pop market position as some people would like to think.

I.e., they’re both extremely mainstream, commercial pop musicians who appeal to a very significant female, gay and white population.

  • Ugh

    Me too.

I’d much rather they abuse their powers like this than by shooting unarmed civilians.

  • Ugh

If he has a good accountant – and he should – he probably pays less tax than you do.

  • Basketball Coach

that’s what popular people’s foundations are for, less tax.

You are kidding I hope. Or just a very sad person posting negative comments on every post.

This is nothing new – Jay Z did the same thing with RKelly (best of both worlds), which I think backfired for Kelly in some respects but worked out great for J.
You have a slightly odd definition of “mainstream” though…..

Lol I didn’t know that I was white gay female. All this time I thought I was Dominican male and straight.

    Stop making g*ddamn assumption.

  • Ugh

    …wow.

I don’t even know how to explain what you did wrong there.

  • Matisse

“I.e., they’re both extremely mainstream, commercial pop musicians who
appeal to a very significant female, gay and white population.”

Enlighten me. Explain to me how I misunderstood that?

You’d rather they collide head-on with civilians in traffic? Driving on the wrong side of the road, stopping the flow of traffic, and using law enforcement to get to a concert is crazy illegal.
