Knicks Sign Center Cole Aldrich

Apparently, the Knicks don’t have much faith in Andrea Bargnani’s ability to play some center this season. Weird. From the team itself: “New York Knickerbockers Executive Vice President and General Manager Glen Grunwald announced today that the team has signed center Cole Aldrich. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Aldrich, 6-11, 245-pounds, holds career averages of 2.0 points, on 54.-percent shooting, with 2.3 rebounds over 7.9 minutes in 89 games over three seasons with Oklahoma City, Houston and Sacramento. Last season, he averaged 2.2 points and 2.7 rebounds over 8.6 minutes in 45 games for the Rockets and Kings.”

I’ve always thought that Aldrich was going to be a solid starter when I watched him play in college. Even though he dissapointed me I still hope there will be a team who can turn him into a decent role player. Probably hoping to much…

i thought this too, i’m so disappointed in this guy…almost feel he never really got a serious chance, but he had his chance in Houston last year

Bargnani can play center almost like J.R. can stay away from chicks.. Good move!

Every time you turn around the Knicks are signing someone. Roster must be up to 30 players or so by now.

Someone could make an argument that they didnt exactly ‘develop’ Ibaka, I won’t but someone could

  • danpowers

what would speak against this statement?

  • BCoops

Well he could have taken greater strides in his first few season if playing under a different teams head coach, I’m not going to get into which teams but yeah…
