Metta World Peace Says Lakers Are Going To The Finals

Metta World Peace may have left LA for New York, but he still has plenty of love for his former Lakers teammates. Per ESPNNewYork: “‘I think the Lakers are going to go to the NBA Finals,’ World Peace said during a signing for his children’s book ‘Metta’s Bedtime Stories’ in downtown Manhattan on Wednesday. ‘I think Kobe [Bryant's] gonna be healthy, they’re gonna get Pau [Gasol]. The Lakers are gonna make a big trade like they always do. They’re gonna get another good player, boom, boom, and they’re gonna go to the Finals. I believe it. Kobe’s gonna come back, he’s gonna play team ball, and Pau’s gonna play well.’”

    A parable

    by Metta World Peace.

  • The Fury

Well at least he didn’t say The Knicks are going to the NBA Finals like his teammates’ do.

  • Busta213

We just trolled by Ron Artest.
He’s crazy, but not “Kobe will play team ball” crazy!

  • JibbsIsBallin

When you play Kobe in 2K, all buttons become become shoot.

  • straight cake

Lakers are not making the playoffs, The Knicks are though…..

  • Smits#45

He could be right about a trade though. Somehow, someway the Lakers always know how to trade a signed basketball plus a pack of sigarettes for a all-star.

  • shockexchange

    And league officials schedule MWP’s drug test in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 …

  • melvo

Someone should tell Ron Artest that he can take Kobe’s d*ck out of his mouth now…

  • melvo

Agreed, however one of those pack of cigarettes turned into Marc Gasol

  • Wilt Chamberlain

  • Evan Boland

Dude’s had a total man crush on Kobe since he got to LA

  • berkamore

The Lakers still owe him some money (even tho he got amnestied) so I guess Ron Ron doesn’t want them to f…..with his money.

We’ll see what he has to say when that last Laker check clears tho………….LOL.

Knicks n Lakers r both exiting the playoff in1st round next season.

  • baby carrot

When Kobe comes back you guys wont even be .500 or better and it would be too late to catch up considering the deep western conference in 2013-2014.

  • straight cake

im not a l.a. supporter man

  • grgeblck

    He didn’t say when though.

  • addd

Dawg… the lakers need this line up

Chris Paul, Lebron, Beasley, Bosh, Oden

    Make it happen Buss

  • it sucks

    this fantasy lineup sucks

  • Redman

Amnestied and still a loyal laker. Y’all don’t get it, but that’s something to be proud of.

  • danpowers

i see the next drug test cominga knicks players way…

  • price

He could be right….. they got Farmar, might pick up Vujacic. Is Odom available? It’s starting to look like 2010 again. That big trade is gonna be Nash, Meeks, D’Antoni and Steve Blake for Ron World Peace, Shannon Brown, DJ Mbenga, D Fish, Phil Jackson, and Adam Morrison. Cleveland will eventually waive Luke Walton and Andrew Bynum will be traded to the Lakers in a Pau Gasol-esque Controversial trade: Rob Sacre and future first Round draft pick. Believe the Hype!!!
