Andrew Bynum Close to Practicing

Most indications out of Cleveland are that center Andrew Bynum is close to taking part in full team practices. Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown says the big fella is responding well so far to training. Per the Plain Dealer: “After watching center Andrew Bynum work out hard in three-on-three competition the past few days, Cavaliers coach Mike Brown said Thursday night he thinks Bynum is close to being able to practice. However, asked if Bynum might be able to play in one of the Cavs’ four remaining preseason games, Brown said: ‘I don’t know. We’re not going to rush him.” […] ‘He looks good,’ Brown said of the workouts he has seen. ‘We just want to make sure that we’re cautious with this thing and we’re handling it the right way. Andrew has done a great job. We’re excited about his progress and where he’s at.’ The Cavs have been careful not to put any sort of timetable on Bynum’s return, but the coach delivered what is no doubt good news to the team and its fans on Thursday when he said, ‘This is just my opinion: I think he’s close.'”
