Stephen Curry is Coming Soon…

Stephen Curry SLAM Magazine Cover

We’ll have plenty more on this when it hits newsstands next week, but this much we can tell you: Stephen Curry is (obviously) on the cover of SLAM 173, decked out in his Golden State Warriors uni and some fresh Under Armour kicks.

    YES!

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

Those Bionic Underarmours are looking fresh. Curry broke out last playoffs and ready to continue. Curry will finally move to solidify his spot as top 3 pg in the league. Curry’s green eyes are beautiful

Good cover. Steph definitely deserves one. Still thirsting for a Rockets cover though.. (Last Rockets cover was December 2004.. That’s roughly 80 issues.. C’mon.)

    Pretty exciting!

Warriors hadn’t had one since 1995! But Rockets are due, too….

  • AndyK415

    Only if it’s just Harden…

Well damn they haven’t deserved one up until MAYBE last year. This is the first time in a long time Houston is actually relevant.

I wonder what brand of moisturizer he uses. His skin looks soo radiant.

  • Leo Sepkowitz

Great cover. Curious what a Marc Gasol poster looks like.

  • shutup

One of my favorite young players, good to see him get a cover. Will be rooting for him until he plays against the Spurs. Wish his team much success.

YES YES Finally!!! I knew ya’ll listened, I mean I’m not arrogant enough to think it was because of me lol, but I’ve been wanting this forever. Rose cover was dope as hell, and ya’ll follow with this? Great job Slam. Just work on that Top 50 though;)

  • Caboose

Dude could push for All-NBA First team….the odds aren’t with him, but it’s not impossible. Sweet cover btw.

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

if he stays health and gets about 3 to 4 3s a game. average 7 assists. wtih 6 boards He’s all nba 1st team. As long he gets 75 games in a the warriors make 1st round.

I don’t think klay should start or play with curry? Its better have klay come off as a 6th man and score in bunches. Harrison isn’t capable of doing that. How do you think iggy will mesh with the team. he may be a good defender but if he starts the warriors offense is gonna suffer either on the 1st unit or 2nd unit.

  • Caboose

I see Curry putting up something like 24-4-6 with 3 3′s a game.

In my opinion, Klay would be an incredible 6th man and probably win 6th man of the year. A starting lineup of Curry, Iggy, Harrison, Lee, Bogut is scary, and has enough offensive potency without Klay. Let Klay go up against 2nd string defenders, and he’ll be deadly.

I have high hopes for Iggy; he’s a playmaker, which means Curry doesn’t have to bear the full responsibility. Curry isn’t the best at running an offense.

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

i could see iggy ball handling never though of that option. But harrison showed his most effectiviness playing PF in the playoffs. He doesnt have the first step to beat 3s but a quick enough 1 to beat 4s. Maybe harrison and klay should do the 2nd unit and bring up the much improved kent bazemore.

  • Caboose

Mm, I worry that having Klay and Harrison on the bench leaves the starting 5 a little short on offense…

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

but you agree that harrison was better offesnively at the 4 then at the 3?

  • LakeShow

This does not bode well for Curry. He’s gonna break both his ankles now that he’s on a SLAM cover.

  • Slick Ric

What shoe is he wearing? He’s not with Nike anymore?

  • Caboose

Bravo to whomever did the lighting for this shoot. Excellent.
