Mike Woodson Fined $25,000 for Criticizing Referees

Not too surprisingly, the NBA fined Knicks head coach Mike Woodson $25K for whining about the refs not giving Carmelo Anthony enough whistles. From the press release: “New York Knicks head coach Mike Woodson has been fined $25,000 for public criticism of the officiating, it was announced today by Rod Thorn, President, Basketball Operations. Woodson made his comments during a radio interview on Thursday, Nov. 21.”

I bet he can see everything happening behind him. Like Richard Jefferson’s car being towed.

To be fair the reffing has been pretty subpar to start the season.

i believe a good portion if not all the fines go to various charities. i think the NBPA pay half the fine too.

The college game is better officiated this season, which is a blasphemic conclusion. Rod Thorn doesn’t mess around like he’s trying the eradicate world poverty.

Old Finals commercial from around 2002/2003. JKidd, RJ and co are at some store and JKidd has his back to the street but sees RJ’s car getting towed. The Spurs one was little funnier when TD gets pulled over for speeding and stares down the cop.
