Jabari Parker Agrees With Comparisons to Carmelo Anthony

Duke superstar freshman Jabari Parker played put on a show at MSG Thursday night, and after playing in Carmelo Anthony’s house, Parker says the comparisons of his game to Melo’s are accurate. Per Zagsblog:

After a magnificent performance at Madison Square Garden, Jabari Parker dressed three stalls away from Carmelo Anthony’s locker in the Knicks’ locker room and humbly proclaimed that he and Anthony have a few things in common.

“Yeah, it’s a good comparison,” Parker said after going for 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists as Duke beat UCLA, 80-63, in front of a capacity crowd that included Bruce Springsteen, Tyson Chandler and Tim Hardaway Jr.

“He mastered the fundamentals. He’s always good at his craft. He works on it and that’s a person I’ve been looking up to, so yeah, that’s good compliment.”

UCLA coach Steve Alford embraced the comparison independently.

“I know we’re in New York City, but there’s a lot of Melo in him as far as guy that can stretch you to the 3-point line,” Alford said. “He can drive the basketball. He creates space off the dribble to get jump shots. He can take you to the post, so I just think he’s a very, very talented, gifted player. And you don’t see a lot who are this polished 10, 11 games into their freshman year.”

He would make the Jazz REALLY good…

Burke/Hayward/Parker/Favors/Kanter That team’s got contender potential

Then since salaries are obviously going to be a problem in a few years, trade Hayward for a 2 like Danny Green, and picks/solid bench players

walk away from that light, Jabari !!!

Yes but we already got d rose with a 1percent chance..bron to clevrland t h e one time in refent memory the worst overall record actually got the num 1 pick..it only makes sense jabari beijg mormon will go to Utah to save their franchise and wiggins to toronto to lo ut the weight of a country on his back!!

and then after Lebron left Cleveland which btw the Cavs were a highly valued franchise just conveniently got the number one pick 2 out of the past 3 years. its like he nba felt bad for that whining owner and instead of completely devaluing that franchise they gave the Cavs an opportunity to build it back up by giving them number one picks. PLUS all these rumors about Lebron going back to Clevland (even tho i highly doubt it will happen) would make for a crazy story for Cleveland, the NBA and sports in general. But we all know none of this would be possible without Clevland getting two number 1 picks.

If this is all chance then chalk it up to chance fueling these conspiracies, but if Wiggins and Parker go to those destinations i will be convinced.
