Rudy Gay Traded to the Sacramento Kings

by Marcel Mutoni @ marcel_mutoni

The frustrating Rudy Gay Era in Toronto has come to an end.

According to multiple reports, the Raptors and the Sacramento Kings have agreed to a blockbuster deal, sending Gay to California.

Per Yahoo! Sports:

The Kings will send Greivis Vasquez, John Salmons, Patrick Patterson and Chuck Hayes to the Raptors. In addition to Gay, the Raptors will send Quincy Acy and Aaron Gray to the Kings, sources said. The Raptors and Gay had become increasingly unhappy with each other, league sources said, and Gay’s contract was an obstacle to the franchise’s desire to begin the rebuilding process.

Gay is making $17.8 million this year, and holds a player option for $19.3 million for the 2014-15 season. The forward will almost assuredly exercise the option and take that salary next season. The Kings plan to use Gay at the stretch-four position.

At 6-12, the Toronto Raptors’ season is spiralling down the drain, and the team appears to be setting itself up for a high pick in the loaded 2014 NBA Draft (and surely dreaming of landing Raptors fan Andrew Wiggins.

GM Masai Ujiri might be voted in as the next mayor of Toronto, having managed to get rid of both Andrea Bargnani and Rudy Gay in his first year on the job.

Short tenure for Gay. All the people crying for Thomas to start for the Kings have had their wish come true now, Kings should be quite an entertaining team to watch now.

  • VanCityBBall

i’m actually more pissed quincy acy is gone as a Rap’s guy… great motor and lots of potential… Rudy can go build a house in Cali now with all those bricks SEE YA!

  • VanCityBBall

I am not a fan as a Raps guy… nope not at all… as for Quincy leaving that is- Rudy can take his bricks to Cali please and thank you

  • greg

Massai is cold blooded, This is actually hilarious because the raptors may have gotten some decent pieces. The kings just shot themselves in the foot, they nobody who will make a play for someone else

  • aндрій базилевич

LET THE TANKING BEGIN BOYS ! WIGGGYS COMING HOME . SHOUT OUT TO SLAMMAGAZINE FOR THOSE NY CHEERLEADERS POSTER . BIGUPS TO FLAVAFLAV~ PCE OUT

  • melvo

This move was actually very necessary. Eastern Conference teams are gonna have to try really hard to now make it to the playoffs. Gay’s been playing bad, but at least they have nobody now.

  • aндрій базилевич

quincy was …at most okay. maybe be like chuck hayes in like 5 years…with a developing arc shot

  • Perry Tong

Rudy Gay is possibly the most inconsistent Guard in te league. I don’t see the future of the Queens franchise changing drastically because of Gay’s efforts
    .

  • Saleem Rainman

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

    Masai for president!

    I mean Prime minister.

  • RKJ92

HE TRADED OUR TANK COMMANDER FOR 2 VALUABLE PIECES NOOOO LOL

  • Nathan Shane Long

And Rudy Gay is headed straight to the bench he won’t start over Williams at SF or McLemore at SG

  • Caboose

    You’re an idiot.

  • RKJ92

    Wtf are you TALKING about!?

  • Saleem Rainman

    LOL. ha!

i expect a lowry trade soon too, so it WILL be full tank mode soon. Maybe even Demar (but that i kinda doubt, i bet he sticks long term, as long as he’s okay with the losing)

  • Saleem Rainman

lmao, i think its bed time for you.

  • Nathan Shane Long

Do you think he will start with his non-shooting ass

  • aндрій базилевич

THEY WILL USE HIM AS A STRETCH 4 . READ BEFORE YOU COMMENT YOUNG GRASSHOPPER

  • Nathan Shane Long

And the hate come so quick

  • Caboose

When everyone hates you, it’s no longer hate. It’s a statement.

  • Nathan Shane Long

Even though Toronto have clinched the horrible Atlantic division with this trade

  • RKJ92

Demar will stay 100% unless there’s a first round draft pick involved, now that Rudy, Aaron Gray, and Acy are gone though, I’m expecting Lowry, and Fields combo to be the next trade to go, Idk what were doing with Chuck Hayes though.. he makes 6 million through till 14-15′ that ones gonna hurt.. overall B+ trade by Masai! Bargnani, Gray, and Rudy out all in the same year though!? they gotta build a f*cking statue for Masai man LOL

  • Caboose

Honestly, the Kings will be pretty freaking entertaining to watch.
Thomas, McLemore, Gay, Williams, Cousins with Thornton, Jimmer, Thompson, and (eventually) Landry off the bench. I mean, it’s not Playoffs, but it’s actually gonna be fun.

  • Caboose

Derrick Williams will play the 4 if anything. Rudy is not a 4 in any semblance.

  • Caboose

    Rudy Gay will obviously start.

  • Nathan Shane Long

Gay won’t start dumbass bet it up

  • Saleem Rainman

yeah, but i dont mind paying hayes ONEmore year, he’s a good backup center. evne if undersized. dude can ball. and what could be better than a lowry AND fields trade? I say its an A- trade. Either way, i fully trust Masai at this point, dont u?

  • Nathan Shane Long

So he will instantly take Derrick Williams spot and just shoot up more bricks

  • Caboose

Dude, shut the f*ck up. You’ve been proven wrong so many damn times, how many more things do you have to prove your idiocy about? No one here respects you for a multitude of reasons, so why do you even bother?

  • Caboose

DERRICK WILLIAMS JUST GOT TRADED HERE and he got a starting spot. So yeah, Gay will take Williams’ spot.

  • RKJ92

Are you f*cking kidding me? Does that LOOK like Rudy Gay can post people!? and don’t call me you’re grass hopper, idiot.

  • Saleem Rainman

they actually are considering playig them both as a stretch 4 (thats waht the report is, doesnt mean its gonna work lol)

but to say a guy thats getting paid 19 mill next year was traded to not start is ludicrous…

  • RKJ92

He probably lives under the rules of flinging so much sh*t at the wall hopefully something lands and he will forever think he’s right… TOO BAD NOTHINGS LANDED YET..

  • Caboose

My point is, the Kings now have 2 guys at the PF spot (Thompson, WIlliams) and eventually Landry. That’s crowded down there. Meanwhile, with Salmons gone, the 3 spot is wide open for Rudy. If Williams and Gay are on the floor at the same time, it’ll be Williams at the 4 for sure.

  • Saleem Rainman

no i fully agree with u. but reports are kinda confusing on the issue of gay at the 4.

  • RKJ92

Ofc he is going to start, but it will be at the SF position. Kings have Thompson, Landry, and Williams, at the PF, and virtually no one in the sf position. Bet on him starting full-time 100%

  • Max

And….. the Isaiah Thomas for 6th man of the year talks are dead.

  • Nathan Shane Long

I don’t care if ANONYMOUS PATHETIC TROLL CUNTS THAT HIDE BEHIND THEIR KEYBOARDS DON’T LIKE ME

  • RKJ92

Masai is a genius.. I trust him 100% I also expect him to make Casey play Salmons, and Hayes a bunch of minutes to even out the production Patterson, and Vasquez. He’s still all in for the tank, trust me on this; we aren’t pushing for the playoffs whatsoever. The only reason I graded this a B+ is because Vasquez is a quality ROLE player, and shouldn’t be a starter because of his shooting inefficiency, if he stopped shooting so much he would be A LOT better of a player.

  • Caboose

But you do get mad when we don’t like you. You call us names because we don’t agree with your “opinions.” So maybe you do care?

  • Caboose

Haha I’ve learned long ago not to trust anything the Kings put out in “reports”

  • RKJ92

He deserves to start though, he’s too young, and too talented to be on a bench.

  • Caboose

And since when am I anonymous? I’ve said my name here plenty of times, along with where I live, go to school, field of study, job, medical history, etc, etc. You wanna know about me? Just ask man.

  • Saleem Rainman

thats exactly what im hoping for man, lets get as much of a good a pick as we can. Masai said himself, we arent gonna be in the middle, so thats what he expects with this trade.

  • robb

    ?????

  • Saleem Rainman

    Mr. Irrelevant no more!

  • Caboose

Don’t poke the troll. Or village idiot.

  • RKJ92

As of RIGHT NOW we are in the middle until he trades Lowry, he is a BIG reason why we won most of our games. Once he is gone then we are STEALTH TANK FOR WIGGINS, OR JABARI.

  • Nathan Shane Long

Don’t any of you retards understand that Williams failed at Power Forward

  • Caboose

Please enlighten us. This’ll be good.

  • Nathan Shane Long

I ain’t never seen no “personal info” disclosed by you

  • RKJ92

Listen.. I get that Williams hasn’t panned out THUS far, but get this through your head right now.. KINGS HAVE NO OTHER SERVICEABLE SF TO PLAY OTHER THEN RUDY GAY..

  • Mike Gilbert

    you’re embarrassing yourself….stop….

  • Mike Gilbert

Any Kings fans like this trade? I really like it for them. Rudy should go back to playing similar to his Memphis days now that he’s got a post presence again. They should also have max money available for the 15-16 season if that’s the route they want to take

  • Caboose

I have plenty of times man, I’ve been here way longer than you, Nathan.

    Name: Alex Bennett
    Age: 21
Location: Living in Berkeley, from Sacramento
    School: University of California, Berkeley
Major: Public Health, minor in Math and Science Education
Job: Currently a high school tutor, building my own college planning business
Sports: Played basketball until age 15 when a herniated disc ruined high school ball for me. Used to run a lot until my arches fully collapsed such that I can’t run anymore. I play golf now.
Hobbies: I’m a big fan of Pokemon, classic rock music, and of course basketball. I do still collect some basketball cards

Anything else you’d like to know? This is all stuff I’ve posted here before and I’m sure any veteran commenter can back it up.

  • Caboose

I like it in the sense that they’re entertaining and will actually drum up excitement in the city. Sacramento has needed a team to be proud of for years now. This may be it, even if the wins are sparse.

  • RKJ92

Acy was really good for his limited ability, and was quite effective on the floor in short spurts, however he has no place as a role player in the nba, or starter until he can learn how to dribble, and has a higher basketball IQ. This is coming from a HUGE Acy fan too..

  • Caboose

Did Boston just fall off the face of the earth or….?

  • RKJ92

Cousins will definitely command some double teams for Rudy to build a mansion, Ben might help Rudy throw in a brick garage while they’re at it!

  • Saleem Rainman

ive been on sactown royalty, and their actually likin the trade, it seems to be a win win for both sides.

  • Caboose

Honestly, the Kings have the groundwork for a decent team. GROUNDWORK. Not saying it’s there yet

  • jakethesnake

lol why give all your info to a complete stranger, this guy could be a psycho, but more importantly, how the F*CK do you get a herniated disc at 15 let alone have your arches fully collapse lmao how much do you weigh man? you might as well disclose that also…

  • Nathan Shane Long

Wow they blew out the Pathetic sorry ass Knicks

  • RKJ92

Ground work is nice, but unless they draft Dante Exum, or Marcus Smart for this pointguardless team they’re royally f*cked, or at least trick one into signing with them in free agency lol!

  • Nathan Shane Long

    Marcus Thornton DUMMY

  • Caboose

    Um. Isaiah Thomas?

  • Caboose

Herniated disc happened because I dove for a ball and a REALLY fat kid stepped square on my back and compressed it.

As for arches, my whole family’s feet have been flat. My grandpa was turned away by the military for it.

Weight? 200 right now, about 165 when I was 15.

  • Caboose

    Marcus Thornton the SG. Right.

  • Caboose

And have a way better record than Toronto right now…

  • Joshua Chua
  • RKJ92

He’s great, but I meant more along the lines of a distributing one, sorry I should have been more clear..

  • Caboose

Vasquez proved that the Kings thrive with a scoring point guard, not a distributing one.

  • Nathan Shane Long

well they won’t soon enough tho

  • RKJ92

Bro Marcus Thorton is 6’4 on a good day.. are you kidding me?

  • FUCK RAPTORS

The raptors are the biggest jokes in the league, they wanna make the team a fucking interanational team when vince carter left they drafted international player after international player hoping they could get a dirk nowtizki type player that never happened. so they draft ROSS and ACY both promising rookies and get RUDY now they have something they can build with but then they fucking trade there players away. FUCK THE TORONTO RAPTORS IM TIRED OF HOPING THINGS WILL CHANGE, IF THEY WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP TOMORROW I DONT GIVE A FUCK. AND JONAS VALINCUNAS PLAYS LIKE A BITCH THEY SHOULD HAVE TRADED HIM FUCK RAPTORS MAN

  • Nathan Shane Long

since being with the Kings Thornton has been SG/SF

  • Nathan Shane Long

Thornton has played both SG/SF for the Kings

  • RKJ92

But you’re also forgetting that Vasquez wasn’t a scoring threat either so everybody played loose defense on him making his passing null. That’s why he will never be a starter again until he learns how to be an effective offensive player.

  • RKJ92

sigh.. just because the coach tried to play small ball a few times to test the waters, and get sh*t on because it didn’t work does not make Thorton a SF dude..

  • Nathan Shane Long

I did not ask for the bio to your pathetic like LOL AT POKEMON

  • Caboose

You called me out. I answered. You’re fu*king welcome.

  • Caboose

    Ok.

  • Caboose

What I’m saying is, with Thomas, the Kings ABSOLUTELY do not need a point guard. That kid is a solid starter.

  • TriggaMan

A poke fan is a good man lol
    who ur fav?

  • Caboose

Favorite Pokemon? Sh!t man, that’s hard.
Shaymin-S is probably my overall favorite.
    Metagross is the coolest design.
Lugia is my favorite for competitive battling.

  • Caboose

Is that why he’s been playing backup SG to McLemore lately?

  • Nathan Shane Long

    He has two position SG/SF

  • Pingback: Trade: Rudy Gay envoyé à Sacramento - SBA Hoops - SBA Hoops

  • Caboose

So does Kevin Durant, but it doesn’t mean he’ll suddenly start at PF if Ibaka is moved.

  • jakethesnake

    lol

  • Nathan Shane Long

Kevin Durant is a pure Small forward

  • VanCityBBall

I agree, but i personally have a soft spot for hustle guys… you can’t teach that stuff…

  • Nathan Shane Long

Who in the FUCC still plays POKEMON this ain’t the year 2000 anymore

  • Caboose

    Actually he’s listed as SG/SF

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/duranke01.html

But he’ll never start at the 2.

Meanwhile, Thornton is listed ONLY as SG

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/t/thornma01.html

    F*cking moron.

  • Caboose

    Like that’s not true.

  • RKJ92

They need a distributor period. Thomas is good but he’s not that guy yet. It will be something you need to see for yourself boose’.

  • Caboose

    Dude, that’s just not true.

  • RKJ92

What factual evidence do you have of this? because I can back up what I’m saying. Telling me it’s not true doesn’t work for me.

  • Caboose

Pokemon Black/White which came out in 2010 had 14.64 million sales, more than double the 6.39 million in sales for Crystal, the game that came out in 2000. So yeah, people still play it.

Just because you think it’s nerdy or whatever doesn’t make it unpopular.

  • Caboose

The Kings were at a +8.5 with Thomas on the court while they were -9.0 with Greivis on the court. Vasquez is EXACTLY what you’re taking about, a distributing point guard. It’s a FACT that the Kings were literally 17.5 points better with a scoring point guard than a distributing one.

“Oh but Greivis can’t score.” So you want a point guard who can score and distribute? Yes, the Kings would obviously be better with a Tony Parker like player then.

  • WT Walters

wouldn’t you want Vasquez to start then? because he’s a bad shooter? you are trying to tank here, so seems to defeat the purpose if he’s not throwing up rocks.

  • WT Walters

Williams didn’t fail at PF, he was playing on the wrong team from day one. Do you even watch ball?

  • WT Walters

    BOOGIE!

  • Caboose

    No, he doesn’t.

  • Nathan Shane Long

A team that played him at Power Forward that why the Kings play him at Small Forward

  • RKJ92

I’ve already explained to you the Greivis situation; teams know EXACTLY how to play him because he can’t create shots for himself, and is a poor shooter even if he has the spacing. Ergo teams play him loose, and it puts your whole offense in a muk even if he is a pass first guard he is not a QUALITY pass first guard. You cannot compare Isiah Thomas, with Vasquez because one is obviously much better then the other in their respective position. For them to succeed with their ALREADY made foundation (which was the whole point) they will need a competent distributing pg to take them to that next level. 4.9apg/2.6tpg will not cut it. Thomas is a great PG but not for this team as it’s currently constructed.. you have way too many players now demanding the ball

  • WT Walters

I for one love this trade. Can’t see Acy and Gray being at the Kings long, especially Gray. The idea of having Boogie Cousins and Rudy Gay in the same team excites me. Especially now that Isaiah Thomas Jnr will start. Might not be a playoff straight up, but definitely an improvement. Should make for some entertaining ball

  • WT Walters

I agree with your starting 5 man. Should make for some great entertaining basketball. Shame Sac aren’t in the East, would be a playoff team for sure.

  • Nathan Shane Long

Look here NERD actually Kevin Durant was a Shooting Guard his rookie year in Seattle in 2007 and Thornton started at small forward for the Kings two years ago so you and that basketball website you trolls love to copy and paste is wrong

  • Caboose

The Kings just traded Salmons and Patterson, two dudes who absolutely NEED the ball, for Gay, who just really needs it.

And that whole “teams will play off the non-scoring distributor” argument is fallacious.
    John Wall
    Ricky Rubio
    Rajon Rondo
    Andre Miller

All those guys make their team better. Thomas is great as point guard dude, he has the highest net impact on the Kings of anyone playing over 20 MPG. That’s huge.

  • Caboose

Really. You’re gonna challenge f*cing Basketball Reference? The completely impartial website made of the best NBA analysts on the planet with your pathetic mind? That’s like saying f*cking Darwin was wrong because it doesn’t make sense to you.

  • Caboose

Lol my old high school’s JV team is a playoff squad in the east.

  • Nathan Shane Long

And for the record who does the Kings have that play any defense damn sure not Rudy Gay who is a BALL HOG a straight BLACKHOLE on offense

  • RKJ92

OFC I want Vasquez to start (FOR NOW) I want him to shoot 16 shots a game, all in purpose of the stealth tank, but come next year after we have successfully used all the fuel in our tank and found our messiah, I would rather Vasquez to play on our 2nd unit, and find good looks for our bench he will actually be a nice spark as a role player for next year, to add he will also find Jonas a lot of good touches and develop him more as they are in games together.

  • WT Walters

My Celts stink are we’re leading the Atlantic Divison! Another banner for the walls

  • Nathan Shane Long

I just wanna know how long will the Rudy Gay HONEYMOON last in Sacramento

  • Nathan Shane Long

Will Rudy Gay ban stat sheets in Sacramento?

  • vINSANITY

    Yeah he said he would

  • WT Walters

He was never a good fit at the wolves. They should’ve never drafted him. Now he has a chance to prove he’s not a bust. Playing him at the 4 wasn’t the issue, it was the team he was on.

  • RKJ92

Wtf are you saying!? I never said anything about a non-scoring distributor, nor did I say Thomas wasn’t a good point guard.. I said he wasn’t a GOOD FIT with this team, and as a PG you need to be able to score, play defense, and distribute.. so far Thomas is 1/3, and you will see EXACTLY what i’m talking about for the remainder of the season with how the Kings play it will be atrocious. I’m guessing somewhere just under 30 wins.

PS. Your first sentence doesn’t even make SENSE; Salmons and Patterson only played a combined 40 min a night with a COMBINED 13 shot attempts a game.. Rudy takes 19 shot attempts in 35 min are you kidding me? WHO NEEDS THE BALL MORE? refresh my memory Caboose.

  • WT Walters

Wish someone would ban you from making stupid comments

  • Caboose

    Listen to me.

You are saying that Thomas isn’t a good fit for the Kings.

This means that he doesn’t help them or make them better.

He has the BEST positive contribution on the team.

So why is he a bad fit?

  • Nathan Shane Long

“analysts” as in internet stat nerd fanboys like yourself

  • Caboose

Don’t go down the rabbit hole with this moron. Trust me.

  • Caboose

I forgot you’re better than literally everybody else who analyzes basketball objectively. What are you gonna argue against next, gravity?

  • RKJ92

I am saying the Kings will not get anywhere with their current foundation, and Thomas leading their point. It has nothing to do with Thomas’s skill level as he is an exceptionally talented guard! this has to do with the team chemistry, and Thomas’s style of play not being able to mesh well with what the other players have to offer this team as currently constructed, It’s the very same reason Raptors are in the midst of blowing up our own team we had decent pieces (I use decent sparingly) but none of them fit well with each other.

    Get it?

  • Caboose

The team will go nowhere with their best player….that doesn’t make sense.

  • RKJ92

So you’re telling me Thomas is better then Cousins? are you kidding me?

Just stop right now. In fact I’m done.

  • Caboose

I’m saying Thomas has had a better positive impact. As in, the Kings are AT THEIR BEST when he’s on the floor.

    This is an unbiased statistic.

Is Cousins a better player? Of course.

Does he make the team better moreso than Thomas? Nope.

  • 2chainz
  • Nathan Shane Long

    FUCC OUTTA HERE CUNT

  • Caboose

Yes, thank you for illustrating an example of a stupid comment.

  • Nathan Shane Long

    Another stupid moronic “hater”

  • Caboose

No one here likes you, agrees with you, supports you, finds your opinions valuable, or enjoys your presence. Sometimes, maybe it’s not the world just hating you. Maybe it’s f*cking you.

  • Nathan Shane Long

Who are you the troll spokeperson? you are not one of the higher up elite “veteran” troll on here

  • Caboose

I’d like to think at least a couple commenters here share my viewpoints. Even if they disagree with me at times, they at least respect my view of basketball.

Take me and LakeShow. We disagree on a LOT of stuff. And things get heated. But I RESPECT that dude’s knowledge of the game. It certainly surpasses mine in some ways, just as mine surpasses his in others. I’m sure he’d agree to this.

Now you, EVERYONE disagrees with and NO ONE respects. That’s the difference. Good commenters don’t have haters, they have opponents, and I know I certainly have plenty. But you don’t have opponents. You have haters. And that’s on you. Not us.

  • Caboose

    Proof of Pokemon’s popularity.

    1. Go to google.
    2. Search for “durant”
    3. Tell me what the top result is

It’s not KD is it? Nope, it’s a Pokemon.

  • Nathan Shane Long

But the brutal truth is none of you nerdy ass WHITE BOYS have any knowledge of pro basketball whatsoever at all and i’m just so hated because i attacked you LAKESHOW AND NBK from the beginning at the first attempt of trying to troll my comments and opinions

  • Caboose

We have watched more basketball than you.
We have discussed more basketball than you.
All of us have played the exact same amount of NBA ball.
You’re hated because of what you say, not what you said.
Want proof? Look at all your downvotes this thread.
    I don’t downvote your comments; it’s immature.
This is people who don’t respect you.

Why do you have more knowledge than anybody else here? You’ve never explained that to us, and I’m just curious why you think so.

  • Nathan Shane Long

Like you WHITE BOYS are far bigger nerds then i could ever be being brainwashed basketball stat sites and all these discussing all of you have had over the last couple years are pointless because don’t none of you monkey know what the fucc you all are talking about and that is even before i started posting comments but yet my “stupid” comments caught all of the veteran trolls eyes and attention over the last several months and it never was anyone trying to debate me it was all the well knows lifeless trolls that were attacking me for no reason at all NBK AND LAKESHOW the two biggest nerd cunts on here

  • Caboose

Why does this make your more qualified than us?

Why is being a “nerd” a negative when it comes to analyzing the game? You are aware 100% of all GM’s of NBA teams are “nerds” right?

And hold on, I am a WAY bigger nerd than LakeShow. Let’s get that straight.

  • Caboose

And also, what the f*ck does my race have to do with my basketball knowledge?

  • Nathan Shane Long

A lot really anyway All i have done is state the obvious it ain’t like i have said some off the wall ludicrous statements or comments over the past several past months but yet the hate just kept on increasing from random people not the trolls that reply to my comments

  • RKJ92

I know.. I actually liked him a lot, but Jonas, and Amir both hustle their asses off so to me, this wasn’t to big a blow as we have other players willing to put themselves on the line you know? :)

  • Caboose

TELL ME WHAT MAKES YOU MORE QUALIFIED THAN ME. Or nbk or LakeShow. Why is your voice more valid than theirs? Give me reasons.

  • VanCityBBall

And a RvB fan! (at least i hope considering your tag is Caboose with the matching picture)

  • Dagger

Since becoming GM, Ujiri has traded away two players who together made nearly $30 million/year and each consistently demonstrated exactly one skill: low efficiency, volume scoring.

Probably the least useful skill in the NBA.

Ujiri isn’t done yet, but after so many years of futility it’s great to see that this team finally has some direction. And seriously: what the hell was Colangelo doing?

  • Nathan Shane Long

I speak nothing but truth obvious that what caught the attention of the all knowing almighty troll gods NBK AND LAKESHOW in the beginning months please understand this you pathetic pokemon,yu gi oh, dungeons and dragons VIRGIN troll monkey retard i never picked a fight with any of you that is the truth i just never “bow down” to any of you veteran cunts who would attack my viewpoint even though in 99% of the cases and subject i was clearly right they were talking like they were better than me ironically when all their comments were damn wrong and that when the battle begun

  • Shifty

I do. And im 25. Got alllll da colors on laptop

  • Caboose

Of course it’s RvB man :)

  • Caboose

Tell me some things you were right about.

  • Nathan Shane Long

I don’t remember all the things over these past several months but i know it was enough to elicit a response and begin battling these “respected” trolls on here

  • Caboose

Well, tell me one thing that you’ve proved me wrong about. As in, something you said, I contradicted, but you were proven to be right.

  • Ugh

And likewise, nobody here cares about you – yet you hang around. What’s up with that? Why talk when nobody likes you and you don’t like anybody else?

  • Ugh

    This disturbs me.

  • Caboose

A troll is someone who says deliberately wrong or inflammatory things to elicit a reaction from an audience. A troll is not someone on the internet you dislike. Just clearing up one of the many things you’re confused about.

Hi NSL. I just want to point some things out.
    1) I played professionally – did you?
    2) I played for fifteen years. How long have you played?
    3) I put down a 55 point game in college – what’s your highest score in a regulation game?
    4) I can dunk, despite having retired nearly ten years ago. When I was playing pro I could dunk from the foul line. (Yes really. Yes, there are photos. No it’s not in the internet.) Can you dunk?

    5) I coached youth league and assistant coached college. Did you?
    6) I played through a broken collarbone, a fractured finger, a fractured toe, tendinitis, a fractured cheekbone (Larry Bird, represent!) and a stomach virus that had me vomiting at the half. And I took home two MVPs, a league scoring title and three championships for my trouble. How dedicated are you to playing and how successful have you been?
    7) I am white, I am gay, I am a nerd – and I kick your ass because I am a player who knows the game inside and out and I have balls so big Dr J couldn’t palm them. I can kick your ass now on the court or talking about the game.

  • Caboose

    It’s a basketball forum.
People come here to talk about basketball.

I think that explains this astonishing phenomena you’ve discovered.

  • Ugh

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

People don’t talk solely about basketball on this forum. They insult one another. Talk about the personal lives of Basketball players which has nothing to do with the game.

  • WT Walters

Thomas is more productive than Vasquez and will now start, so there’s an improvement. Rudy Gay is also going to be in a team with a scoring point guard, so l will be seeing less ball, meaning less shots. Playing alongside another scorer means less pressure on him to score because he’s not caring the offense, which will lead to less bad shots. Another improvement :)

If you take the time to examine the evidence for the Jinn species or read the Hadith of Gabriel you’ll understand.

I don’t support creationist arguments because any religion can use those.

I ask why have you rejected Islam. I gave you evidence you can witness and yet you choose not to go physically and spend maybe 2 hours of your life. Which can be substracted from say going to a bar or playing videogames.

I know I am right that’s why I say it. I am not making this up I am not crazy.

  • danpowers

if you take the time to examine the evidence for the flying spaghetti monster or read the gospel of the flying spaghetti monster you’ll understand. and so on. you realize something? ;)

“I ask why have you rejected Islam.”
you dont ask for answers as you just ignore what you dont understand. i dont even reject islam. i studied it with the same interest that i had for most other religions and philosophies. from a more or less objective standpoint i just came to the conclusion that islam is not more or less of an eternal truth than other believes. i guess what came closest to this is buddhism and it can be argued weather this is a religion or philosophy.

“. I gave you evidence you can witness and yet you choose not to go physically and spend maybe 2 hours of your life.”

i spent way more than 2 hours. i spent years studying religions academically, in the field and in private life and practice, islam included. i told you so three times, but you seem to have some kind of disfunction… or you just refuse to understand that someone saw what you saw and read what you read to come to a different conslusion? that would explain your extremely limited understanding. jinn experience is not proven, these phenomenons are either psycho somatic or just actually spirits as any other religions / mysticist movements describe – neither better nor worse than islam – at least there is no proof any way for one definite description. neither in islam nor elsewhere.

i also told you that i know quite some people in private who converted out of islam (quite common by the way for believers from sub sahran african countries) and reported from their former belief in jinn existance and that the jinns stopped to exist for them by the time they stopped believing in it. so how can something exist that appears or disappears by believe from a persons reality? most explained their former believe in it as… more or less some kind of folly. the term reality is quite vague tho, but at least this is extremely strong evidence, that these spirits either exist in any cultural context described by most pagan believes and world religions or are nothing but psycho somatic illusions. what you presented me was no proof, not in the slightest. what i saw in mosques or fests and muslim practice was no proof neither. at least it didnt differ from comparable experiences out of different believes and presented nothing that science wouldnt offer an explanation for.

    “I am not crazy.”
    well…

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

I read your comments but It’s hard for me to believe you read the Holy Qur’an in detail and critically if you didn’t even know what Jinn species were before we had the discussion. It’s hard for me to believe that any critical reader of Islam who studied it is being introduced to Ruqyah for the first time. I mean every friday surah Kahf is recited and contains that narrative of Iblees (a Jinn species and first shaytan) not bowing to Adam Peace Be Upon Him. I really find it hard to believe, I mean I don’t want to ask questions out of bad mannerisms but it’s shocking how you can miss such obvious information.

“jinn experience is not proven, these phenomenons are either psycho somatic or just actually spirits as any other religions / mysticist movements describe – neither better nor worse than islam – at least there is no proof any way for one definite description. neither in islam nor elsewhere”

How can you claim that when its in the Hadith literature as well as discipline (ruyqah) taught in the Islamic institutions like Prestigious Al Azhar, Al Medinah etc. That’s nonsense that the etiology is biochemical .I agree the pathogenesis consists of biochemical issues but I am discussing the ETIOLOGY there is a difference. There are objective SIGNS just like when diagnosing the flu for Jinn species infection. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFdGaru-3dc The spirits you discuss are Jinn species. The Uncreated Creator provided the consistency, the reality of the Jinn species in the Holy Qur’an. Paranomral activity is Jinn species.

OK even i showed you the verse Holy Qur’an 51:56… If there is no such thing as the Jinn species as YOU CLAIM then the Holy Qur’an is false. The entire story of the Iblees and Adam peace be upon him is false. Then the Holy Qur’an is not the Word of Absolute Truth.

However, I HAVE FIRST HAND WITNESS THIS PHENOMENA and I am a student of western medicine IN THE STATES. I know Jinn species and evil eye are real. Why do you find this hard to believe?

There are over 1 billion Muslims in the world. This is not a strange thing I am speaking of. This is well known information.

  • http://twitter.com/sooperfadeaway nbk

Rudy Gay will start at power forward my dude

  • danpowers

1,6 billion moslems, 2,3 billion christians, 0,9 billion hindus, ~0,5 billion buddhists and the remaining religions mostly get indoctrinated from birth on. by using the number of muslims as a justification of your thinking you can make a statement the other way and ask you if you really think then that the remaining 5,5 billion people on this planet are wrong / crazy / infidels / misleaded in life while only your group (in this case, islam) claims to know the only truth? you dont even realize how insulting, ignorant, evil and dangerous this way of thinking is towards 5,5 billion human beings? if you are really not capable to understand this you are as far away from such a thing like an undisputed truth as it gets.

dude, as i told you, i studied your believe as i studied most religions on this earth. if you are not aware of this academic discipline, inform yourself: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religious_studies

“How can you claim that when its in the Hadith literature as well as discipline (ruyqah) taught in the Islamic institutions like Prestigious Al Azhar, Al Medinah etc.”

it comes down to assumptions, shaky evidence blah-blah-ed into the shape of facts when there is no such a thing as a measurable result, not at all. even in non islamic highly rennomated universities you can find scholars publishing quite stupid nonsense about all kinds of things, which normally is excluded then from its respective academic tenor. the academic institution hardly ever legitimates anything, that also goes for places like oxford, yale or harvard. individuals publishing anything dont necessarily represent their whole
scientific caste or institution and you are talking about theologic brainwash, that is in no way scientifically legit.

these “facts” only appear within the approach measured there in your video, youre just absolutely blinded by this religious brain wash and your fairy tail videos may have relevancy within islam, but are in no way universally undisputed, neither by the tenor of academic, nor religious institutions outside islam – which should imply for any halfway intelligent person that there is no such a thing as undisputed proof. dont get me wrong, its absolutely ok imo that even muslim scientists believe in jinns – that the majority of the world refuses and rejects the believe in jinns should bring one to the conclusion, that this believe and aleged “scientific” proof is nothing but a quite ludicrous attempt to hold islamic believe as a gold standard for mankind. the harder you try to proof a fairy tale as “science”, the less others will take you serious or include this kind of “science” into the global academic tenor. regardless of eurocentric or objective approach.

anybody can claim anything, i could tell you green flying invisible unicorns created the universe and battle for our souls, but nobody except me is able to see them. we could educate generations of kids in this believe and whitness their psycho-somatic reactions to this. we can educate them in the belief that my word is holy, cannot be changed and whoever attempts to do so will fall from grace and be banned to hell. by looking for evidence against this green golem story – which logically could not be found – we would make a point that it has to be true as there could not be anything proven at all. any chemical reaction in peoples brains caused by the ideas of green invisible unicorns, any other measurable energy flow around phenomenons of unicorn-experience could be sold as “proof” then, that the unicorns exist and that it will be impossible to prove the existance of unicorn species wrong. this would be EXACTLY the same systematic approach and argumentation as being made about jinn species.

if believing in jinn, then cool, do so. you can chose to believe in it, fine. if it helps you to get your life straight thats great. there is just no such a thing as undisputed proof, there is also no 100% proof that things like unicorns, jinns, santa clause, angels, the flying spaghetti monster or zombies dont exist. thats why its called religion / belief. jinns work for moslems, golems for jews, angels for christians, spirits for pagans and so on. as long as youre not able to accept this, youre just ignorant, but in no way closer to epiphany than anybody else.

“Then the Holy Qur’an is not the Word of Absolute Truth.”

it is most prbably not. most likely none religion is. at least the probability that one religion is the definite one and only truth is highly probable zero. but it can be the absolute truth for YOU. you can chose to believe in these scriptures, whatever makes you happy, you should just be able to accept that this doesnt work for everyone. many other religious believers will be able to make the same claims about their believes and prove yours as nonsense as you do vice versa. thats the stupidity of sticking to doctrines. you lock your mind up into borders, against all logic and devote yourself to one doctrine – that is the essence of religious practice for most believers of most religions.

you know what makes you unable to accept this? your ego’s pride and inner fears. to accept this you would have to destroy yourself from a psychological approach – which most people are too scared of. i dont blame you for your inability, but please understand, that i am done here discussing about your ignorant view. further creepy videos wont change my mind.

Lol bro re read what your wrote. You are using cliche atheist rants.

You didn’t address any specifics with objective evidence. Rather you use empty rhetoric.

Lol pride and arrogance you definitely need restudy Islam

I didn’t use the numbers to prove the Veracity. Millions of whites believes blacks were inferior that didn’t make it true. I was just saying it because maybe it’d make you fee comfortable to this knowledge but I was wrong.

The probability of absolute truth in a book is 0. And Holy Qur’an is “probably” not 100% truth. This is why I can’t stand ppl who use words like belief and faith. Either you know or you don’t know.

You haven’t given any evidence to disprove the Holy Qur’ans veracity your words are mere words with no visual objective evidence.

I have provided you evidence. I am not arrogant nor do I have pride in a religion.

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

I am not a Muslim apologist. If tomorrow I find out 2 different Holy Qur’ans are recited in the world then the author of the Holy Qur’an wasn’t truthful and I’ll walk away from Islam and return to my previous life as an atheist. This is in regards to the Oral preservation miracle. No other scripture received this miracle.

  • Lambert

Nobody can provide conclusive proof that any religion is true, that’s why there are different religions. Are certain as you are about your faith, there are people just like you within every other faith. Somebody is wrong and it’s likely everyone.

Just relax and enjoy life in your own way and stop worrying about everyone else. Life is precious. Stop wasting yours trying to convert people with Youtube videos on a comment board.

  • danpowers

“Lol bro re read what your wrote. You are using cliche atheist rants.”

these might be atheist rants, or maybe just logic conclusions. guess that lays in the eye of the beholder.

“Lol pride and arrogance you definitely need restudy Islam”

not by definition of common use. in psychology these terms are free of negative connotation. this is not about islam, this is about how human beings work, how they hold on to what defines us.

“I was just saying it because maybe it’d make you fee comfortable to this knowledge but I was wrong.”

you ware trying to make an argument that because so many people believe something, it cant be nonsense. but as you just stated yourself – this hardly ever goes as a legit argument for anything.

“This is why I can’t stand ppl who use words like belief and faith. Either you know or you don’t know.”

the tragedy of islamic philosophy. maybe this is why this religious group fell way behind in the race for global dominance in science, military and economy. guess itll take some time until these times come back. that will probably not happen as long this is the tenor.

“You haven’t given any evidence to disprove the Holy Qur’ans veracity your words are mere words with no visual objective evidence.”

are you really so numb? there are theological discussions about proving certain points wrong or right – i dont like this. i rather observed and analyzed to come to my own conclusion after examining most religions and base my oppinion on common sense. the qu’ran is full of claims and assumptions. you cant prove most things wrong or right. there is no such proof. same goes for other religious scriptures and philosophies.

    “I have provided you evidence.”

there is no evidence. your creepy internet videos just let you look… creepy. you cannot expect people free of religious brainwash to take this serious. same goes for quotations of suras or other religious scriptures.

“I am not arrogant nor do I have pride in a religion.”

i didnt accuse you to be. at least not in what you may think. thats why i wrote “psychological approach”. it is impossible to operate without ego and pride, questioning ourself holds self-destruction and what hurts in the process is usually what psychology defines as pride. the operating entity in this process is usually linked to the ego, at least according to most psychological approaches. youll find concepts of ego in most religions without a connotation that you might thought of: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ego_%28religion%29

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pride#Psychological_views

  • danpowers

if this makes you happy, fine. just dont try to put it as if other miracles of other religions would be lesser. just because this is how islam received its letters doesnt mean this is the gold standard for everything else.
you wrote it yourself somewhere round here: basketball is a religion (or something like that). in my understanding an important part of basketball is tolerance, to bring people together regardless of religion, class and race. imo thats why there is no room for religious ignorance in here. we cannot lessen other peoples doctrines in here by selling our own sh*t as the one and only way.

I’ll give you evidence look critically at them and objectively. 10 evidences 9 from the Holy Qur’an and 1 from Sahih Hadith. Holy Qur’anic Miracles: 1. Oral preservation 2. Pharoah ramses 2nd body 3. Embryology (and look up galen so you can know the difference) 4. Corruption in the Bible 5. Fingerprint miracle 6. Mountain Peg miracle 7. Barrier between two bodies of water miracle 8. Gospel of Thomas infancy miracle 9. Prophecy of the Roman and Persian War Sahih Hadith Miracle Hadith of Gabriel Minor Prophecy toward day of judgement occuring right now in Dubai and other gulf/non gulf arab countries. These are OBJECTIVE evidences that any individual regardless of testing will come to the same results. These are signs presented 1400 years ago mind you that.

But this is where I disagree with you. I agree that human beings must be tolerant in behavior but when tolerance comes to ideas then the PURSUIT OF TRUTH GETS MASKED. There can only be 1 truth. Being tolerant to ideas prevents humans from critically and scrutinizing one another’s claims at veracity. Why do you think it’s MORALLY SUPERIOR to take a secular approach to religion. Is it fear of hurting peoples’ emotions? I like what PZ myer (9:00minutes start) said in this video at the end (however, his mannerism aren’t the approach aren’t Morally acceptable) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ASBBIVFb8c

Secondly, you will understand that it is impossible to be tolerant to dictators, oppressors, Interest-oppressive banking schemes, etc. I can never support as a Muslim alcohol or any intoxicant use by any fellow human being. As a Muslim I can never support the oppressive dictatorships. Just few examples.

Thirdly, The Devils exist (view the Islamic Lens not the Christian Evangelical lens)… Devil has different understanding from an Islamic lens. But knowing Shaytans exist there will be EVIL on planet earth until end of this existence.

True, True. Some also need Randle. With players as good as Jabari and Wiggins though you’ve got to take the best player and adjust around them. Too good to miss out on.

that 8 spot in the west is attainable. A lineup of Thomas, Mclemore, WIlliams, Cousins, and Gay, has a lot of athleticism and scoring. Theyre my pick for the 8 seed, i think theyre better than the lakers, pelicans, and memphis.

  • i_ball

The Lakers, Pelicans and Grizzlies all have key players injured that will come back at one point (Kobe, Gasol, THE BROW!). I think the Pelicans are the best out those 4 teams if everyone is healthy. Sacramento is heading back to the lottery.

  • AndyK415

Mike, I’m interested to hear what your views are about getting rid of Williams and the Wolves’ season so far?

  • AndyK415

The Wolves were forced to try and play him at the 3. There was no other spot for him. When Love went out, then Williams played the 4. He’s such an in between guy in that respect. He was wasn’t very productive at either positions.

  • WT Walters

Like i said, he wasn’t a good fit at the Wolves. Had nothing to do with position, like i said. He was on the wrong team. Proved again tonight that’s he can be productive.

speaking of truth, let me tell you what i truly believe about muhammad: i think the most probable scenario is that he had epeleptic attacks and just sold it as godly visions. you know how supersticious most people were back then, that was maybe necessary to prevent his peers from putting a procedure on him we would call exorcism today. all thoughts he put into the qu’ran werent anything new, which is not really suprising. he came to travel alot to meet people of different believes such as christians and jews and in the end just created a rethoric to address beduine thinking and customs.

he was very successful as a leader, especially on a military stand point (morally not so much when you look at how he and his men acted during the times of his leadership of the ummah at medina) who needed to give his men a strict guideline that needed to exceed solely military purpose. his success and pathos of his person were just legit enough to make people believe in his words and success of his movement, offering an alternative to pagan and hebrew believes. thus the military success of his people combined with his manual to life entered a broad vacuum, as to be seen in this whole area around this time, to have abrahamic religions replace locally bound pagan believes. i think that jesus and muhammad were just smart guys who kicked off social movements that carried on their words to form a religion our of it, adding alot of mysticism to it to make it the religions as we know today. we dont even know tho, if muhammad actually dictated the qu’ran. neither do we know if jesus really said what has been delivered. dont let me even get started at the tora.

it makes absolutely no sense to taboo criticism and or adjustments on these aledgedly “holy” scriptures as all of them really need a little overhaul to serve our times.

you claim to deliver proof, but you cant. there is none. you can just believe, claiming anything else just disqualifies you from being taken serious.

  • danpowers

i wanted to pick him up too, but someone just snatched him right b4 me…

  • danpowers

no prove for nothing at all. other religious scriptures hinted at comparable events in comparable fashion – there has never been proof, you can just believe that your interpretations of these texts are correct and true. but you cannot know, nobody can. claiming to “know” that these hints are facts and superior to other religions is just idiotic and of evil nature. sorry, but i have no other words to conclude this way of thinking.

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

LOL BRO STOP IT. I don’t want to question you but read the Holy Qur’an. It EVEN addressed THESE EXACT points, “epeleptic attacks and just sold it as godly visions. you know how supersticious most people were back then, that was maybe necessary to prevent his peers from putting a procedure on him we would call exorcism today.”

This view is so outdated for centuries and been debunked countless times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSyDliiGI1I

Dude if you say I just believe then you really haven’t paid any attention to what I have said.

Do you believe oxygen exists? If so why? The logic you use to arrive at those answers is the same logic/ rational I used to know the Holy Qur’an is absolute truth.

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

“you cannot know, nobody can. claiming to “know” that these hints are facts and superior to other religions is just idiotic and of evil nature” That’s foolish statement. Arrogance is unmerited claims. I have provided to you numerous evidence, and you choose to not address my claims.

Why do you group all religions together? What is the logic of that?. Each religions foundational document has a different history different details and should be examined on an individual basis. WHAT IS SO HARD ABOUT THAT.

I really think you need to revisit and CRITICALLY READ THE HOLY QUR’AN. And cross examine the statements made with other disciplines documentation such as oceanography, egyptology, biblical scholarship, etc.

  • danpowers

“I have provided to you numerous evidence, and you choose to not address my claims.”

you have to understand that what you call evidence are nothing but hints of history and artificial constructs of a will to let a belief appear as a truth. all these points are not relevant and dont prove anything except the willingness of a believers to turn belief into truth. most sound familiar to me from my studies back then, some was new to me as i am no expert on islam. i just got the essence and got my above knowledge about its theology, but im pretty well informed about its history and structural functions. well enough to tell nonsense “evidence” from facts.

what you do here is what psychopaths do to: construct a form of truth, that differ from actual reality and by legitimating this form of truth you construct a new reality thought through into the last detail to let it appear as an eternal reality. this is the nature of fundamentalist belief. this is also why religion, among all positive aspects, holds a big potential for destructive conflict and aggression: whenever people get confronted with the flaws of their constructed reality they tend to get aggressive. reacting with ignorant rethoric is just the smallest evil there, but still annoying enough.

“I really think you need to revisit and CRITICALLY READ THE HOLY QUR’AN.”

over and over again, by its own, objectively, by structural analysis and in comparison to other scriptures – something you obviously didnt. you are totally biased and unable to zoom out of your own perspective to see the bigger picture.

“Why do you group all religions together? What is the logic of that?.”

brings one closer to an eternal truth. not saying that such an enlightment could be reached by anyone, but in my oppinion, getting the most out of most available ideas brings one closer to enlightment than stubbornly sticking to one single doctrine.

“Each religions foundational document has a different history different details and should be examined on an individual basis. WHAT IS SO HARD ABOUT THAT.”
this is the first step before analytical approach, categorization / abstract and conclusion / essence. you are stuck in the first step, thats why you have no legit claim on an eternal truth. not in the slightest. nobody really has, me included. the folly in all this is just that you claim so without a legit point.

  • danpowers

“This view is so outdated for centuries and been debunked countless times”
lol sure, which religion wouldnt try to defend its foundation? its like a psychopath defending his constructed reality until cure of his pathologic state of mind.

the view is neither outdated, nor debuked: there is no factual evidence against or in favor of godly visions of anyone. that goes for jesus, muhammad or any other religious figure. no whitness is alive. we dont exactly know under which circumstances anything was written. we have no proof of anything. if any religion had, everyone on earth would logically follow it. religion is choice, not an undisputed reality. to a non-muslim the guy in the video appears like a clown, so does anyone unable to exceed the borders of his own doctrine.

this is exactly why you dont have a single point that could be taken as actual evidence about the truthfulness of the qu’ran. it is only holy for those who decide that it is holy for them. there is no legit claim to hold this as a standard superior to any other standard. i dont claim to know the truth about existance, god / allah, the universe neither, this would be madness.

there is even a probability that the qu’ran is 100% truthful, this probability is just like any other religion something extremely close to 0%. the crosscut essence out of all available religions and philosophies tho, offer imo insights that bring one further to a thinking which enables us as mankind more to live in peace and unity. by sticking to your muslim doctrine you are not any better than the evil white conservative capitalist establishment that you criticized in here. excuse me, but your doctrine doesnt hold any less hypocrisy.
if you want to criticize anything: fine. just dont do it on the basis of a doctrine as flawed as what you criticize. this is at least not constructive

I don’t and can’t convince you to accept Islam. I can though convince you of the importance of giving up basketball/etnertainment for a while to study the claims seriously and objectively.

Heres’s a nonmuslim who objectively studied the history http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_100:_A_Ranking_of_the_Most_Influential_Persons_in_History

How can a mad person formulate the standard for a language (Arabic) which is far more complicated than English? Actually if you read the biography you’ll see why it’s impossible. Study isnad and Hadith science. Look all the evidence I supplied you previously. Think about content of the Holy Qur’an. And all Hadith literature.

Here’s a question? Why would anyone speak so graphically about the day of judgment? Prophecies toward day of judgement that have been coming true as detailed (Not nostradamus nonsense. I even gave you a minor prophecy through the Hadith of Gabriel)? here’s a logical atheist asnwer: Social control, celebrity, desire to be successful, get rid of barbaric pagan practices and empower females from getting buried in graves by pagan practices.

NO no if you read the biography I just provided you a quick “Secular uninformed answer”. Read the biography will easily dispute any secular answer you can think of. Read the seerah of Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him. Or listen to the seerah through an academic perspective Yale Graduate https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y22vp9pp8JE

FIRST though pick up a Holy Qur’an Muhammad Assad English translation and other english translations.

Ether you choose to sacrifice some entertainment such as a basketball game here or there and educate yourself. Or you will find out as YOU SAID YOU HAVE READ IN Holy Qur’an Surah An Naba.

“I don’t and can’t convince you to accept Islam. I can though convince you of the importance of giving up basketball/etnertainment for a while to study the claims seriously and objectively.”

whats wrong with your memory? i told you a couple of times that i indeed spent much time studying the qu’ran, the history of islam and analyzed its theology from an academic approach and in private life / practice. you just refuse to accept that i come to a different solution than you. further you are not able to take the discussion to an abstract level, instead, you keep on throwing numerous pointless details and extremely creepy internet videos at me. that doesnt make the essence of your limited view any better.

“How can a mad person formulate the standard for a language (Arabic) which is far more complicated than English? Actually if you read the biography you’ll see why it’s impossible.”

i never called you or muhammad mad. epilepsy is not madness (was just a theory tho i gave as one possibility).
or you may refer to my comparison to the structure of pathological (or as you call it “mad”) construction of reality which was not directed at muhammads mindset. this is what structurally happens in a pathologic (and mostly above average intelligent) mind to construct its own subjective reality. the point is: this structure of thinking bares any flexibility when confronted with objective reality. we all live in our subjective realities tho, it just gets pathologic when we are unable to leave this construction of our mindset to narrow the gap between actual and our subjective realities. this is what fundamental religious people do, too: you build this construct of so called facts and evidence, even construct your own ludicrous academic institutions and call it science (an insult to any serious science medieval islam or todays science included, by the way) just to legitimate your believe in an arrogant attempt to sell it to yourselves and the rest of the world as the one and only truth. if the qu’ran actually would be the eternal truth of our existance and if it would be possible to prove this by ACTUAL science, nobody would be able to doubt this religion and mankind would already have converted to islam. this is certainly not the case.
by mistaking my comparison as as what you took it you just demonstrated once again, that you are not really able to think abstract -which is the minimum requirement to be able to structurally analyze any phenomenon, including religions. if you would be able to leave your extremely limited cage of thinking, you might find the time to read the vehds, bible, tora, buddhist teachings and non-islamic philosophers (by that i dont mean to read the islamic connotated approaches. i mean the actual scriptures / literature itself). maybe then you would be able to get me. just spare both of us with pretending that you already did – it is obvious that you didnt.

dude, any bum is able to be a yale graduate if he is able to pay the fees or get a scholarship. if this strange man was lucky enough to study there doesnt legitimate his strange view as superior to any other view.
it is obvious that there is no legit prophecy in islam, the rhetoric is pretty open and hints at events that were pretty likely to happen anyway. you will find comparable prophecies in numerous other religions, too. plus, muhammad had access to many other cultures during his time as a traveling trader, so he clearly got in touch with christian, jewish and other religious prophecies and offered just a version suitable to his own cultural fellowshop. islam just offers one possible articulation – not a definite / superior one.

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

Danyal bro with our discussion it appears you need to refreshen or revise your reading if you choose to because obvious knowledges were not apparent to you.

Epilepsy is a psychiatric illness and in layman a terms a madness. In our political correct society even using the word retardation has become a stigma.

It’s your choice how choose to invest your time. But thank you for your time.

  • danpowers

Epilepsy is not a pathological disease that directly affects a persons intellect or brain function in a way that would lessen intelligence or interaction with other human beings, so no, it is not a form of madness. At least not in a way you might suspect it to be.
thus I obviously didnt imply what you are trying to accuse me of or you understood in your limited thinking.

obviously the only wrong decision I made lately when it comes to time management was to waste time by trying to discuss with a person who is obviously too ignorant or simply too limited to understand anything of common sense. At least regarding anything outside of muslim theology. We should stick to basketball in here.

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

it depends on type of epileptic condition for instance what about tuberous sclerosis… however, you claiming epilespy requires proof and the origin of the Holy Qur’an and content needs evidence that it was man’s intelligence and not from the Uncreated Creator. Not random theories, I am talking names, dates, etc.

  • danpowers

it doesnt depend on the epileptic type – the common perception of epilepsy has absolutely nothing to do with madness. un-treated it can cause horrific damage on a brain, but not necessarily. anyway, i just said this could have been the case that he had epileptic attacks, not that it actually happened this way. only seems quite probable to me. at least more probable than an entity like “god” literally talked to him.

you are talking random names, random dates, just sorted and ordered and constructed by one theory called “religion” that tries to sell itself as truth / facts. most religions do so. where is the difference to what i told you as a theory? when it comes to actual proof: there is no difference at all as real proof simply does not exist. just more sofisticated formulations, broader collections of hints and statements by historical fugures, interpretations of religious texts, etc… but in the end the decisive proof is missing.

i dont know if i should be fascinated, amused or sad because of your stubborn ignorance that keeps you from understanding.
