Manu Ginobili Out 3-4 Weeks Due to Strained left hamstring

The San Antonio Spurs announced Wednesday that another of their big guns has been shelved. Manu Ginobili will miss 3-4 weeks because of a strained left hamstring, an injury the veteran suffered Tuesday night against the Houston Rockets.

Per the Express-News:

Ginobili, 36, underwent an MRI on Wednesday after he was injured while dunking in the third quarter of Tuesday’s loss to Houston. He is averaging 12.1 points, 4.5 assists and 3.3 rebounds in his 12th NBA season.

Ginobili follows (Danny) Green and (Kawhi) Leonard as the third key perimeter player to go down with a major injury. Green broke a bone in his left hand on Jan. 12, after which Leonard broke a bone in his left hand on Jan. 22. Green is expected to miss roughly a month, while Leonard is out three to four weeks.

Those injuries leave the Spurs with six healthy guards for at least the next week: Tony Parker, Marco Belinelli, Patty Mills, Cory Joseph, Nando De Colo and Othyus Jeffers.
