Carlos Boozer Got Hurt Warming Up in the Locker Room

Chicago Bulls forward Carlos Boozer aggravated a left calf injury Thursday night while hopping around the locker room. Boozer was held out of the game against the Golden State Warriors, which Chicago dropped 102-87. Per ESPN:

Boozer, who has been dealing with the same calf injury for several weeks now and has missed various games and practices because of it, was listed in the starting lineup.

“It was sort of a freaky sort of thing,” Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said. “He was jumping around before the game in the locker room, getting ready to come out, and tweaked something in his calf. He was dressed and ready to go. He had gone through everything [and] was fine. He was fine this morning, and [it was] just one of those things.”

Bulls forward Taj Gibson started in Boozer’s place and scored 26 points.

This isn’t the first odd injury the veteran forward has sustained. In his first season with the Bulls, he tripped over a bag and fractured a bone in his hand. He missed most of training camp and the first month of the season.

Guess he won’t be playing in the 4th quarter.

Sounds similar to that time he tripped over a bag in his house and missed like 30 games.

“Bulls forward Taj Gibson started in Boozer’s place and scored 26 points.”

Thibs should tell Boozer to get freak injuries more often.
