Dear Summer: Kobe Bryant

How the Lakers superstar is spending his offseason.

While news of Kobe Bryant playing in Italy in lieu of the lockout has dominated his press clippings, the Mamba spent much of his summer building his brand and traveling the world. KB24 made stops in China, the Philippines, Korea, Turkey and elsewhere, and excelled in two sports: basketball and (European) football. Could we be seeing Bean on the pitch in the future?     dang this is the first time i’ve gotten to watch his highlights of the drew league game…man he’s so…jordanesque. yknow $’s legions of fans usually get offended when kob’s compared to $, but honestly who else is there for us to compare him to? Certainly no one else in the history of the league played the same style of game that those two played, and at such a high level. Basically, they both were killers/closers/guards who could make ANY shot from ANYwhere, at ANY time in the game, hand in their face or not. So who else is there for us to compare kobe to? Lebron? talk to me about that when bron shows he can win a ring. Wade? well i’ll admit that there’s a legit comparison to be made there, but it’s tough to compare kob to a person that’s younger than him, bc kob’s had plenty more time to build his resume than dwade/bron/kd. Really, honestly, jordan worshippers, we don’t compare kobe to $ to be blasphemous, we just don’t have ANYONE else on those two’s level.

    Everybody go watch 2011 allstar game again, Kobe stole ball frm Dwade twice n shoot in his face like always. And ppl forget so quickly that the broken finger kobe still win a champion 2 yrs ago. Even LBJ admit today he’s still a student of Kobe’s jump shot. Not mentioning other skills that Kobe has and learned from GOAT. IMO
