Heat Sign Jamaal Magloire

Jamaal Magloire can still play?! Well, if he has anything left in the tank, it can’t turn-out worse than the Smush Parker signing last season.

Miami Heat. Where chronically injured players sign happens.

  • Eboy Posted: Aug.30 at 10:58 am
    ..

  • Eboy Posted: Aug.30 at 10:58 am
If he could just rebound a little and take up some space in the lane on the defensive end he’d be head and shoulders above Mark Blount.

  • Bruno Posted: Aug.30 at 11:09 am
    talk about journeyman….

  • Bran Posted: Aug.30 at 11:50 am
    Now they have 3 all-stars

  • Moose Posted: Aug.30 at 11:57 am
So do you think its a good pickup Eboy?

  • James aka The Artist Formerly Known as Krayzie Bone Posted: Aug.30 at 12:14 pm
I was standing beside him at a nightclub in toronto about a week ago. He is gigantic (might have something to do with the fact that im pretty small too). The thing i noticed about him, other than the fact that he was as quiet and unassuming as a man that size could be, was that his hands were massive. Not just long fingered like MJ or Dr. J, but really thick like the incredible hulk.

  • Gerard Himself Posted: Aug.30 at 12:15 pm
Well, Eboy, I really hope so. As a Nets fan I hoped he would do the same thing for us. But he hardly played when he was a Net. If that was Frank’s fault or maybe because he just didn’t have it anymore, is unclear to me.

  • BETCATS Posted: Aug.30 at 12:22 pm
    this is important because….

  • Captain America Posted: Aug.30 at 1:03 pm
Where’s Ricky Buckets and Mark Blount, last year’s “saviors”?

  • Bryan Posted: Aug.30 at 1:46 pm
I don’t think the guy even likes basketball

  • BETCATS Posted: Aug.30 at 1:51 pm
isnt he canadian? Why isnt he playing hockey?

  • thatguysweets Posted: Aug.30 at 1:58 pm
Riles will not stand for that “blindfold” dunk that he does.

  • BETCATS Posted: Aug.30 at 2:02 pm
oh sh!t, i remember that. When Dee Brown did it in that dunk contest (i saw it on ESPN classics!!!) it was sexy, when a 6’11 dude does it, not so much

  • MeloMan13 Posted: Aug.30 at 5:05 pm
    wat u talkin bout
he did it in a GAME!! thats courage

  • USA 4 LIFE Posted: Aug.30 at 5:07 pm
heat sighn sebastian telfair thats a good decision but no one will or hes to big of a wimp to leav the T-wolves if u agree talk to me

  • MeloMan13 Posted: Aug.30 at 5:08 pm
and why do the miami heat have more canadians than the raptors and grizzlies ever had?

  • Sanjeev Posted: Aug.30 at 6:05 pm
Wow…this has to be the most worthless thing the Heat have done. Jamaal has played like a total of 31 games last year with some measly numbers (something like 2 PPG) @BETCATS – Yeah he is Canadian. He should go play ice hockey.

  • P-MAC Posted: Aug.30 at 7:10 pm
    its about time

  • Hursty Posted: Aug.30 at 8:00 pm
Somehow I don’t see the Heat making the playoffs with this roster.

  • jn321 Posted: Aug.30 at 8:31 pm
the heat need some luck they were hit hard by injuries last season-for there sake it cant happen again this year hopefully they can do better but we will see

  • john Posted: Aug.30 at 9:20 pm
    heat love old people

  • Eboy Posted: Aug.30 at 9:57 pm
Moose, I think it’s at least worth looking into for a trial run. Can’t be much worse than the Penny signing last season.

  • Money Bill Williams Posted: Aug.30 at 11:44 pm
USA 4 LIFE, i thought you told me last week that you didn’t like Bassy anymore?

  • Money Bill Williams Posted: Aug.30 at 11:52 pm
@ BETCATS, i think he would be better suited to : eating pancakes, making maple syrup, Skiing knee deep powder, speaking french, converting english to french, listening to Alanis Morriset, clubbing seals, riding on trains, eating poutine? These are just some of the other things he could do that your small ignorant mind failed to mention

  • BETCATS Posted: Aug.31 at 8:03 am
Money Bill Williams: some things you can do: start a e-Fight with me and get fu(ked up, transform into a gian v@gina and i will send a pervert into the computer to fu(k you up, sell me that damm pickup truck already, stop trying to disrespect me because i am SLAMOnlines airport and your comment dont fly with me, go back to wherever it is you came from, or continue to sit here and think that you are funny while i dismantle you. What will it be?

  • Money Bill Williams Posted: Aug.31 at 8:07 am
the second, i really want to see you fu(k your computer

  • NZ Baller Posted: Aug.31 at 8:34 pm
^^^Are you bitter at Sonny bro?

  • Costa Posted: Aug.31 at 8:38 pm
For those of who think the Heat won’t make the playoffs with this roster honestly do not know anything about basketball. So, please do yourselves a favor and watch another sport your basketball IQ is retarded.

  • Nathan Posted: Aug.31 at 10:36 pm
Jamal magloire is good he’s from Canada and he went to pop john paul whcih is one of the best high schools for basketball in canada they are so good

  • Money Bill Williams Posted: Aug.31 at 11:52 pm
NZ Baller, not really. Sonny was way overhyped in the first place. He was good, but people like inlgis, folau, slater, mateo and benji all have better natural talent. If i was still a doggies tragic i would be bitter, but i haven’t liked them since o’meley left. dragons all the way

  • Hursty Posted: Sep.1 at 2:47 am
O’Meley has played well in, like, 2 games for us this year damnit. Overrated. Also, NZ: Money and BET aren’t feuding.

  • Money Bill Williams Posted: Sep.1 at 3:05 am
i wouldnt be suprised if you guys trump everyone this year

  • Money Bill Williams Posted: Sep.1 at 3:06 am
    my dragons…not so much

  • Hursty Posted: Sep.1 at 7:57 am
Your going to su(k Bennett d*ck looong into the future my friend. At least we have a young coach and core to work with. Gasnier=good.

  • BETCATS Posted: Sep.1 at 8:49 am
hursty, stop writting your damm g@y er0tica on here.

  • Money Bill Williams Posted: Sep.1 at 8:53 am
Gasnier = gone. Bennet = emotionless so im not sure how he’ll enjoy it

  • Chris O'Leary Posted: Sep.1 at 11:13 am
Nathan, didn’t Magloire play at Eastern Commerce? Also, if Leo Rautins is wondering, Jamaal will play on the Canadian national team if I’m the pg. I’ve got Magloire saying it on tape.

  • NZ Baller Posted: Sep.1 at 6:13 pm
LOL@that Bennett call. I think SBW was such a huge loss; have to disagree and say I think he has more natural talent than all those guys, would be on a par with Inglis and maybe Folau though. I’m prefer rugby so the prospect of seeing SBW in an ABs jersey gives me a semi. WAAAAARRRIOOOORS!!!

  • Johnny Posted: Sep.1 at 6:47 pm
terrible signing, rileys lost his touch………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. heat still make the playoffs with Beasley as a 20/10 lowpost presence, Marion in a contract year putting up 18/10, all helping each other on defense, Banks/Chalmers holding down PG-spot well, Cook breaking out as scorer/6th man off the bench, Blount having contract-year level ball at center this year, and Haslem plus Jones holding it down off the bench……………………………………………………………….and when Zo’s back he’ll anchor their center spot for 15 minutes a night and be their “Mariano Rivera” at center to close out games…………………………………………………………………………………… And oh yeah……… the most important thing: A healthy dwyane wade KILLING it with something to prove….. to the tune of 30/7/6 a night on 50% fg’s and an mvp-level year as their leader.

  • baller Posted: Sep.1 at 6:48 pm
    pretty good

  • Money Bill Williams Posted: Sep.2 at 2:47 am
NZ baller is right, give me union any day. i would love sonny parnered with nonu in the centres for the AB’s. But i disagree on talent, he relies on supreme athleticism, brute strenght rather than fundamental skills. plus he has a homo shoulder charge thats illegal in rugby anyways

  • straaken Posted: Sep.2 at 8:51 am
This would have been good 8 years ago.

  • NZ Baller Posted: Sep.2 at 6:07 pm
What an odd adjective to use to describe such a devestating move, lol. SBW is a supreme athlete no doubt, but he also has incredible all-round ball skills, that’s what makes him the player he is. Sorry, but totally disagree that he relies on ‘brute strength’, he’d just be another Michael Crocker if he did. Would be interesting to see where they play him for the ABs; think he’ll go into 2nd-five with Conrad to be honest.

  • PolowdaJon Posted: Sep.2 at 7:26 pm
players dont die, they move to Miami!

  • Dacre Posted: Sep.3 at 2:19 am
friggildy piggledy go and talk about the NRL elswhere!!! This is where I come to get away from all the crap of the australian sporting scene…!!! The best thing to ever happen NRL was when Benji led the Tigers to the premiership a few years back and that was it.

  • Money Bill Williams Posted: Sep.3 at 4:58 am
dacre, i didn’t know you were aus/NZ. benji is the man too!
