Lamar Odom’s Game 5 Status

An MRI today will determine Lamar’s status for critical Game Five in L.A.: “Just when it seemed as if Game 4 couldn’t get any worse, the Lakers added injury to insult. Lamar Odom is suffering from back spasms after crashing hard to the floor during the third quarter because Houston’s Shane Battier slid underneath him when he drove to the rim and leaped in the air for a layup. Odom initially tried to ice his back down on the sidelines before leaving for good to get treatment in the locker room. Odom called the pain ‘immense’ as he gingerly pulled on his jeans after the game. He said he probably won’t practice today, but he remained hopeful he’d be able to play in Tuesday’s Game 5 at Staples Center. ‘I’ll go to the doctors and get treatment all day,’ Odom said. ‘Hopefully, I’ll be able to help them when they play.'”
