Marbury Turns Down Offer from Israeli Team

The Israeli basketball club, Hapoel Jerusalem, offered Marbury a one-year contract worth $400,000. Time to contact the Heat, anybody? From the NY Post: “According to a source familiar with the situation, free agent Stephon Marbury turned down an offer from a team in Jerusalem.”

    Stephon is too much like LeBron to co-exist with him. What did Steph say about racking up assists? ” I can’t get no dimes if no one making they shots” Now LeBron blaming his teammates, on a 66 win team no less, for the fact that he got shut down in the clutch. They’re birds of a feather.

    I want to see Jason Williams on the Heat, but I would equally love Marbury on that team too. Dude still has thoses flashes of brilliance

    @Jelte: Just what would those distractions be? Marbury wouldn’t be the top dog on that team and he knows it, just like he knew on it on the Celtics. As long as he’s in shape, I say give him the vet’s minimum.
