Wannaball.com Launch

From our friends at Wannaball.com, helping you find new competition, pick-up games and ballers around the country:

Portland, OR – Orbo Sports announces the launch of it’s latest web site, Wannaball.com, a Social Communication Network for basketball players to find pick-up games, basketball courts, and to connect with other players around the world. The web site is designed to be the first stop for any player looking for a game.

Wannaball.com provides basketball players and fans worldwide with a simple yet functional social communication network to find new courts and meet with new ballers. Members of the site can find courts around them or help add new courts that are not yet in the database. Members can also create group pages for teams or “just for fun” fanpages. No longer is there a need to “friend” individuals to connect, just simply subscribe to courts or public groups and start chatting with other members. Pick-up games are created instantly.

“For any passionate basketball player, there is a need for a web site such as Wannaball to be able to link up with other ballers and find the best courts and pick-ups games in their neighborhood,” said Orbo Sports CEO Greg Johnson. “Basketball has been the ultimate social network for decades and the web site is just another way to make it easier to enjoy the game.”

Orbo Sports is the premier global online sports and lifestyle playground for connectivity, collaboration and self-expression founded by former Nike executive Greg Johnson. It provides a stage for athletes and enthusiasts from various sports to exhibit themselves and connect with others. This network of websites include flagship site Streetball.com and Goal Republic, as well as future sites Crankt.com (extreme sports), Konkt.com (gaming), Stickballer.com (baseball), Gridiron Alley (football), and The Beat Streets (hip hop/lifestyle).

I can remember takin my bike into manhattan and riding up from penn station to 13whatever scoutin out all the courts on the way up and hit’m up on the way back. A sight like this for a suburban kid wantin to get burn in the city would have saved me hours of time.
