All-Star ‘11: Second Balloting Returns

In the second returns, Carmelo jumps into the starting spot over Pau Gasol, but Melo’s lead remains tenuous at best. Derrick Rose and Rajon Rondo continue in a tight race for the starting spot in the East. Knicks fans finally picked up their ballots, nearly doubling Amar’e Stoudemire‘s votes from when we last checked in. STAT very well could surpass Kevin Garnett for a starting spot in the East. Ray Felton and Danilo Gallinari also make respectable cameos. Blake Griffin is proving himself as an emerging fan-favorite, with nearly triple John Wall‘s votes despite being among the crowded West Forwards.

Why you cry so much about who will play the ASG???? Don’t you know that the game is for the “fans” so they are supposed to vote for the players they WANT to see… Maybe some times they vote for people that don’t deserved it, but that’s the way the NBA gets the BEST income, remember that this is still a business. If you really want greatness and a true standard of excellence of a season, wait for the All-NBA teams, they are for the ENTIRE season. Is recognition from your peers and coaches, ASG is for HALF the season and from the fans…. Between the players i’m sure an ASG means a lot, but being an All-NBA may mean more to them. If you talk to a veteran player they ALWAYS say that they appreciate more the respect and recognition of their peers, because fan recognition (ASG) come and goes with time, not saying that they don’t want the fan recognition. (For some of them that’s a bonus or a plus) But the knowledge and respect of people that really know the game is what stays.

AllBall247- appreciate the comment..and its pretty hard to see through DWills fabulous scoring output and overall play sometimes that CP3 is doing his thing outthere night in and night out. Tonight’s game against Boston was a PERFECT example of what this guy is capable of, 20 points on 15 shots, 11 assists, 6 steals…

And for what it’s worth I also forgot to mention that CP3 is coming off an injury riddled year where he missed nearly half the season…yet has the hornets looking to make the playoffs after last year’s absence.

Rondo is a great PG, no disrespect there and plays like an allstar for sure, but he definitly got ni chance statwise vs. Rose this season. Against any other pg in the east for sure, but Rose this year is just ballin’. And his assists have multiplied since boozer is healthy…

Where the hell is monta Ellis at in the voting he should be very close to kobe Bryant NBA don’t recognize real talent when it is their. Monta is ave rage around 26 point per game 2nd in scoring and his name still ain on the ballot people are sleeping on him. He is way better than Chris Paul and any giving day. Chris paul averaging 16 ppg. Matter fact he is doing better than Kobe This season he the only one in the league with 5 40 points game and everybody else got 2 1 or 0 What he have to do to be an all-star score 82. He is the third best guard in the NBA after wade and kobe
