I really think Bynum may get picked as a replacement.

  • ugly_fish

Griffin > Melo … Nobody likes Carmelo he’s just a slightly less fat version of Paul Pierce. Why can’t he just admit he wants out of Denver already???

  • mike

    Rondo > Rose

  • http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/chicago-bulls-confidential/2011 Diesel

If the East starters stand, that has to be the most athletic starting 5 of all time.

  • Airnest

Damn the East All-Stars starters look to be the most athletically gifted starting 5 in the history of the ASG.

  • Sparker

the fact that vince got even 1 vote is shocking. 277 000? dude!

  • http://yahoo.com The Ambassador

    Wait someone answermy question!
If Melo and Durant get picked as starters does one of them have to play the PF position?

  • http://slamonline.com/ Ryne Nelson

    Co-sign Airnest.

  • cnewells

wtfff ray felton > ray allen

  • cnewells

wtfff ray felton > ray allen

  • JTaylor21

I second that; Rondo > Rose.

  • mattydchi

    Rose > Felton > Rondo

  • http://www.stonesthrow.com Michael NZ

    No Griffin, no watch.

  • http://www.slamonline.com/ niQ

@The Ambassador. Melo is no stranger to the PF position. He played that at the Olympics as a starter.
On another note, it looks like its going to be a battle of the athletic (east) vs the scorers (durant, melo, bryant)

  • http://NBA.com EJ

    East is DUNKS!

  • nowyouknow

    why is Kevin Love 9th..

  • benno

  • http://www.slamonline.com/ niQ

No love for Love? I know his team ain’t winning but still…

  • http://www.stonesthrow.com Michael NZ

How does Gilbert Arenas have 240,586 votes? Dirk and Gasol are far more deserving starters over Carmelo. Vince Carter 277,430 votes, you’ve got to be kidding me. How does Deron only have 487,887? Why does Brendan Haywood have 276,777 yet Chandler doesn’t even have 100k? Who are these ‘fans’?

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

An all-star game without Dirk or TD? I knew it would happen eventually, but still… :(

  • http://valleyofthesuns.com/2011/01/07/amare-stoudemire-same-player-advanced-stats/ nbk

everyone realizes this only impacts the starts right? well obviously not, but people, it’s only 5 players each conference, you know the one’s in bold

  • G$

    Yao 929k votes.
    DWill 488k votes.

Proof that Democracy does not work.

  • theDankerNuggets

Im gonna beat a dead horse here and say YAO MING THE STARTING CENTER? WHAT A F*CKING JOKE!!!!!!!

  • http://www.stonesthrow.com Michael NZ

Yeah, the coaches will still vote in Dirk. Don’t know about TD. Great record will help his case though.

  • http://yahoo.com The Ambassador

EVERYONE QUICK VOTE FOR DERON WILLIAMS AND BLAKE GRIFFEN GO!!!!!

  • http://zenguu Max

Put Pau and TD at center in the west please. And @ Ungly fish: what you talking about: Melo said he wants out of Denver -_-

  • Archer

i think Monta Ellis deserves to make the all star team this year…..

  • kc

Get Blake in the allstar game! dude is avg like 22 and 13 and is the most exciting player in the league so far this year.

  • mgballer2

cosign..no love for deron? wow.. best pg in the league..and rondo 2nd best..cmon drose is nice but he aint really a pg..imagine the ally oops w rondo to lebron and dwade…damn

  • LW II

Love the popularity contest…Where’s Lamarcus A…kid has been tearing it up and dunking on everyone!!

  • ron jacob

bynum wont take the starting center spot. their gonna let yao ming win, and then david stern is gonna pick the center for the west. it wont even hav to be a player who actually plays center if stern picks too. most likely pau gasol or dirk.

  • ripslam

All of the eligible Celtics got in. :D

  • http://allanzuss@yahoo.com Mendel

I would have wanted Rondo voted in but Rose ate him up when they macthed up last week and that before the voting cut off, so he earned it over Rondo.

  • wilz

    i quit voting..its useless now

  • Omar

    3rd, Rondo > Rose

  • http://slamonline birdman

I voted to be the meat in an Elton John/Nate Berkus sandwich =)

  • Brandon

Rondo over Rose. Lol, please let me have what you all are drinking today.

  • http://slamonline birdman

@ Brandon- I have a fridge full of Mike’s hard lemonade! Shall I start a bubble bath for us?

  • rob

lmao! i still think people dont know/dont care who deron williams is. cp3 is healthy and he will play, dwill is an afterthought. ridiculous!

  • tavoris

damn it looks like the East might beat the crap outta the West this year.

  • http://slamonline birdman

John Amechi is MY little all-star MVP (licks finger and touches my own man-nipple) TTSSSSSSSS!!! BOOK IT!!

  • http://shinefluid@aol.com just bcuz

the EAST starters is like a all world dunk contest. just throw the ball up and tell whoever there to go get it STUPID ATHLETICSIM

  • http://www.need4sheed.com Tarzan Cooper

Dirk and tim will make it, tim might even start. Blake and love better not make it.

  • http://vandelay-industries.org Art Vandelay

    Russell Westbrook gets no love…

  • http://www.stonesthrow.com Michael NZ

People will hate on your comment Tarzan, but you’re probably right… Durant, Melo, Gasol, Dirk, TD (you just know the coaches will pick him) means that there isn’t room for Griffin and Love. Certainly not both anyway. Hometown says Blake is a chance. But Kevin Love? Calling it now: he doesn’t make it.

  • paul

I think Rondo is better than Rose, but Rose ate Rondo and the Celtics up in their recent showdown, so it has to be Rose.

    For now…

  • Bob

It’s a popularity contest. Yao, hahaha. There must be a lot of online voting from China. Where’s Monta Ellis, he’s just been sick this year. Kevin Love is just killing this year; he has to be on this team.
