All-Star ’11: Third Balloting Returns

Blake Griffin may be the most popular rookie since LeBron James. The young highlight reel has steadily jumped up the list of Western Forwards. Three weeks ago, the Clippers rookie was sixth. Today, the NBA announced that Blake moved ahead of Tim Duncan. Will he pass Dirk? Will KG start his 14th All-Star game? Will SLAM 145′s slender cover boy hold on to his slender lead above Chicago dynamo Derrick Rose?

We’ll find out when voting ends in a week!

Question: Are/Is Kevin Love and/or Luis Scola All-Stars?

  • http://Slamonline.com Kap

Duncan doesn’t deserve to make the team and sure don’t wanna see Love in an all star game. I would give Odom the nod over those two.

    Oh for f*ck’s sake…..

Bargnani should be Easts backup center. Hes the highest scoring center in the friggin NBA! How is SHAQ ahead of him? BIASED FAN VOTING! Just look at the Yao scenario for Gods sake!

    Kap cannot be serious.
And paul fans are lime cult members.

why is yao an all star?????

  • Noel

    Monta Ellis is an All-Star

  • T-Money

bosh will make it, i think.

  • Justin

Centers don’t matter in All Star games anyway. If the game gets up and down the floor as it should then centers are meaningless because they’ll rarely cross center. The East does have a pretty devastating lineup and Howard can get up and down the floor if he wants, running those other centers out of the building.

I need to send and apology letter to Dirk. Can’t believe I forgot about him. I’d replace Ellis/Duncan with Dirk.
I can’t see putting Westbrook on the squad. Sorry.
Love needs to be on there. I don’t care how boring he is. 21-16 is ridiculous. Who was the last person to put up those numbers? Garnett?

Come on now, if you don’t watch CP regularly, don’t sell him short.

Shaq should be the east backup center, just for entertainment.

I think Amare is gonna overtake Garnett for the East forward spot, especially since the injury of Garnett. And the Rondo Rose battle is goin down to the wire. I wont be surprised if its only seperated by a couple thousand votes when its all said and done. Chicago has a larger population and market than Boston but Boston has more fans across the country than Chicago. We shall see

I’ve been with Blake Griffin since Sports Illustrated did a preseason article on him and the Sooners back when he was a sophomore, thank god I waited for you even after the injury. Knew you would make it if you could get through Frank Matrisciano workouts.
