NYC’s 25 For 25 List: The Best Big Apple Ballers Ever

New York City has always been known as a haven for top-notch basketball talent. Yesterday, the New York Post put out a dope story highlighting the top 25 players of the past 25 years to come out of the five boroughs. The Capital of the World has produced 29 McDonald’s All-Americans and 100+ Division I players in the past quarter of century. Kenny Anderson, Jamal Mashburn, Stephon Marbury, Lamar Odom and Ron Artest were just some of the names that made up the list. To check out the full ranking and see who did and didn’t make the list, click here.

What a bogus list. Sebastian Telfair over RAFER ALSTON…hahahaha…these dudes are morons.

Sean, I guess its based on high school careers. Telfair was amazing in high school. Not sure Rafer really played much organized high school ball. Clearly had the better NBA career though.

Not that these guys are bad, but honestly I thought a list of top 25 from NYC would have been better than this.

    Also lately not very productive…

  • http://slamonline.com Ugh

@dsleepy – Hodge has worked hard at forging a reputation for being a major pain the arse for every team he plays for. Last I saw him an Australian team bought out his contract to get him out of the country.

Earl ‘the goat’ manigault ? I know he didnt go pro, but still, Kareem did say he was the best player he played against. At least give him a mention. If it weren’t for drugs, he could of been up there with MJ as the best in the game.

  • Paul

The Goad didn’t play in the last 25 years GP23!

  • Paul

It’s players from the last 25 years GP23!
