Morehead State Stuns Louisville

Down by two with time running out, Morehead State’s Demonte Harper controlled the ball near midcourt. After winding some clock down, Harper made his move to the top of the key and connected on a 3-pointer that gave his team a one-point lead. With four seconds remaining, Louisville had one last chance to win the game but Mike Marra was blocked by Kenneth Faried as time expired.
That block wasn’t the only big play Faried had. The NBA-bound rebounding extraordinaire finished with 12 points and 17 rebounds in the upset over his school’s in-state rivals.
Morehead State’s head coach had an earlier premonition that his team would prevail.
From the Denver Post:
“The coach said, ‘Hey, I dreamed about this last night, this exact situation,’” Harper said. “He said, ‘I know exactly who I’m going to. I’m going to put it right in your hands, Demonte.’ He said, ‘At 6 seconds, I want you to attack and pull up and hit the shot.’ I hit the shot. It feels unreal right now.”
