Layup Lines: Infinite

My acapella releases plastic masterpieces through telekinesis

Hadn’t heard this until yesterday (thanks to GP23 on the comments board). Instantly became my favorite Eminem track. How did he go from this to “My Name is”? I guess it worked out for him in the long run but I like this Em more. Crazy rhymes and vocab over a good ol’ 90s beat.

    Your welcome…..

*You’re welcome. Incredible lyricism right here. Best MC alive.

Most cats heaven’t heard his pre-Slim Shay LP stuff. Dude’s an amazing lyricist.
Though nowadays he’s content to use a lazy flow over a lazy beat.
And lyric for lyric, bar for bar, in 2011, Em isn’t even the beat MC outta Detroit, that would be Elzhi. Much less the best MC alive.

Oh no you didn’t! This and Slim Shady LP … two greatest Em albums. SLAM, please put up some OGC sometime.

    My fav of all time.
I also like his songs with Royce da 5’9″ alot.

@ Enig, I respect ya opinion bro, but Em is just in another league to Elzhi and other detroit cats in the game. There is a reason why Em is the most feard MC in the game… because he can end rappers careers in a beat. SLAM, if your reading this, next post, Slick Rick – “Childrens Story.” It’s DOPE !!

I doubt he’s the most feared MC in the game, especially when he’s never battled any other rapper of any significance.
I mean, Ja Rule? Everlast? Fred Durst? ICP? Benzino? Sh*t, Christina Aguilera?
Dude ain’t ever went up against a real threat, you know?
Yes, he’s a great lyricist. One of the all-time greats.
But let’s not get carried away.

    Just my opinion, though.
I still wanna see OC’s “Times’s Up” on here.

  • TheDubz

Certainly not the most feared MC. An absolute beast, but will all of his dope tracks comes some sh*tty songs like lighters. Let’s hear from KRS-One on the Alchemist track Grand Concourse Benches. Knowledge reigns supreme.

    Royce Nickle 9/Boldy James/Chuck Inglsh > Elzhi
    as far and Detroit goes

Nice! Love old Em. And this song is the illest.

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

    Chuck Inglish? Really?
Dude’s not even known as a rapper, he’s known as a producer, his rhyming is meh.
Never heard of Boldy James. Just looked him up. He’s wack.
Royce is nice, I been a Royce fan for a minute.
But Elzhi is just a weeee bit better. Listen to Elzhi’s “Motown 25″ for proof.
PROOF – now that cat could spit too. RIP.

I mean, damn, seriously, how many MC’s you know could ever make a song like Elzhi’s “Talking In My Sleep”?

    this layup line. NAAAAAAAGH !!

I know Em gets a lot of hate because he’s probably the most popular rapper (if not music artist) in the world. But dudes there for a reason guys, No one can go as hard on a beat as Em can (Example: His verse on drop the world, No love, and of course Renegade.) He’s not my favorite of all time, but to say he’s not one of the greatest is silly to me. He’s still out there selling albums like piracy doesn’t exist.

Enigmatic, you’re forgetting Cage, Canibus, Juice, Dose 1, and of course Mariah Carey. Ridiculous track.

Nuthin wrong with “My name is”? And no current rapper wants any part of Eminem. Em will bury em. No doubt.

You know that chumps do not want it with The White Boy.
And, I say “The White Boy” with the utmost respect.

  • fizzbucket

He dissed like 50 bazillion people on Recovery, and not one responded. I wonder why.
