Chris Douglas-Roberts Close to Deal in Italy

CDR’s teammate Carlos Delfino said, ‘No’ to Italian team Bologna Basket last week, but that won’t deter the Bucks’ guard from agreeing on a one-year deal with no ‘out-clause,’ according to Sportando.net: “Despite the meetings to avoid the lockout are going on, Chris Douglas-Roberts decided to leave NBA and land in Italy where he will play for Virtus Bologna. The two parts reached an agreement in principle and the small forward has just to sign the one-year contract without NBA out with the Italian team.”

As a Nets fan, I would’ve loved to see CDR getting some minutes with the team. Sadly enough, it never really worked out. Everytime when actually got minutes, he produced. I like it that he had tons of different ways to score. Some might say it might’ve looked awkward, but he got it done.

The lockout has to end. The NBA can not lose superstars like CDR for a full season. I just lost a huge, and i mean huge, part of why i watch the game. CDR is the best player to play in the NBA since Jordan and now we’re losing him to some team in euro. This is an outrage…
