    I like Lupe, but i think sometimes he goes too hard to go over peoples heads. Still trying to figure out Dumb it Down. Lol. I get the concept of the song, but the actual lyrics are impossible imo. Songs like this, and Kick Push when he’s talking about life’s trials and tribulations, he does exceptionally well.

    Didn’t know this song was about Slim Thug.

    all hip hop artists these days need to ‘dumb it down’… why?.. because listeners don’t appreciate lyrics anymore. A catchy ‘club-banging’ hit is now more attractive to mainstream america, it’s just the way it is.

    @airs I can’t really fault him, at the end of the day these guys still have to make a living. Us as fans want them to stay true to themselves, but we’re not paying their bills, the record labels are.

    I like Lupe. ‘He Say She Say’ is really powerful for me. Loved Food & Liquor and The Cool. Last album seemed like he was just mailing it in.
