Gatorade Announces State Boys Player of the Year Awards

Earlier today, Gatorade announced their Player of the Year awards for all 50 states (and Washington D.C.). Among the notable names is Perry Ellis, a Jayhawk-bound forward from Kansas who won his fourth-consecutive Gatorade State Player of the Year award–becoming the first boys basketball player in the nation to ever win the honor four times since its commencement 27 years ago. Congrats to all the winners!

I don know if others will agree with me on this but to me Andrew Wiggins is by far the most talented player in high school basketball. Dude averages 24 points 8 rebounds and 4 assists, yes shabazz scores more but he’s older than Wiggins and doesn’t pass the basketball. To me if there is one wing player that i feel pretty safe about calling a future nba all star its Wiggins and its not even close in my opinion.

    i recall looking up Wiggin’s age and as a sophmore he’s already 17 turning 18 isn’t he?

not true, Wiggins is 16yrs old and is by far the most talented player in that 2014 class

wiggins turned 17 in feburary but it doesn’t matter he’s stiil only a sophmore so he has a lot of room for improvement.
