Layup Lines: 2pac at Coachella

That sh!t Cray

This 2pac hologram performance at the Coachella Music festival is one of the dopest things I’ve ever seen. It went viral a few hours ago which, in this day and age, means it’s old news. For those of you that haven’t seen it yet, click PLAY.

Saw this live on YouTube last night. Twitter went INSANE.
It might very well be both the dopest and creepiest thing I have seen so far this decade (2010-present)

I bet Suge Knight sh!t his pants if he was there.

RT @HologramTupac N*gga slapped Dre in the face trying to high five me. #SMH RT @lamarcone: Snoop Dogg was so high he thought @HologramTupac was real

  • http://www.slamonline.com Slick Ric

    Definitely was awesome yet creepy.

  • Duh

…who else smells the abundant potential here?

  • http://slamonline.com 1982

Maybe next time they can have a hologram of Kurt Cobain at an ICP concert.

Soop, believe it or not there are people who don’t use Twitter and have no f*cking idea what your comment means LOL

This is dope as hell but I’m sad now cuz I miss Tupac even more. The real Tupac would have tore the f*cking roof down!

You know if they make this normal…they’ll have Hologram Pac on tracks with Drake/Lil Wayne messing up the youth.

  • Omar

    Don’t want a hologram 2Pac.

    Nice, 1982.
    3/4 Cool, 1/4 Creepy

They couldn’t do a Biggie hologram too? Yes, it would’ve required quadruple the power to make him move on stage, but still…

  • http://www.twitter.com/_dfrance DFrance21

The Biggie hologram would have tried to beat the Tupac hologram up.

  • ripslam

Big wouldn’t have the same presence on stage that ‘Pac did/(does?)

Did he perform at Coachella in like ’96 and they hologram his performance there and put it on stage this year?

  • http://www.slamonline.com Pardeep

This was one of the best thigns that happened to music in the last 15 years. Epic!

  • Thegfunk

God needed a rapper, so he took the best. R.I.P Pacman.

  • Thegfunk

He can still rock a crowd from the grave.

  • Nick

    I almost ji**ed. Amazing.

when the directors told Snoop that he was going to be performing with Pac i bet he thought he was high…. or sober… idk anymore with snoop

  • bombsquad

The ‘that sh!t cray” headline in this article is foul. Jigga and Kanye are not even on the same planet as 2pac and those boys, I actually used to be a Kanye Fan, til I met him. Hugely disappointed, what a jerk.

  • http://slamonline.com Ugh

Am I really the only person who sees this and thinks it’s probably the single greediest thing a record company ever did? I mean, they’re LITERALLY MAKING MONEY FROM A DEAD PERSON AT A LIVE PERFORMANCE. He’s dead. Let him be dead.

  • Cool Dude

This actually took over 4 months and over 100k to animate. The whole thing was designed by Dre as a tribute to his friend. It isn’t greed.

  • http://slamonline.com The Philosopher

    Shout out @Project Blue Beam…

  • http://www.facebook.com/joe.l.brewer3 BlackPhantom

Two things…Snoop almost looked like he was fighting tears at 2:38
and Dre and Pac weren’t cool at all shortly before he was killed.

  • Marc

How is this greed? I thought pac was signed with death row and dre started a new label so he doesn’t really get anything. right? Why can’t you just be happy that tupac was on stage and not these same lames like cali swag district.

  • Ken

The GREATEST musician of all time. Made me teary eyed.. I bet Snoop was too.

  • IDOT

Even as a hologram he is still better than the wack living rappers.
