adidas Eurocamp, Day 1 (PHOTOS)

The best Draft prospects outside the U.S. show out in Italy.

The adidas Eurocamp, the only official NBA Draft camp outside of the U.S., kicked off yesterday at the La Ghirada sports center in Treviso, Italy. With a handful of NBA GMs and scouts in attendance, more than 45 early entries and draft-eligible players took part in drills and competition on day one. Nineteen-year-old Frenchman Evan Fournier, the only international player projected to go in the first round of this year’s draft, did not participate in drills or any of the scrimmage games. Even still, with over 25% of the NBA composed of international players, the League will certainly import lots of new talent come June 28. Above are a plethora of snapshots from day one of three in Treviso.

    No names?

  • Ronnie

I don’t know a whole lot about website building, but I know that it is not hard to attach names to the pictures. Unless the photographer actually has no idea who these people actually are and SLAM just posted the pictures so they could one day say, “We saw him in EURO camp back in 2012 and predicted him (and 10-15 other dudes) to be an NBA All-Star one day.” But all news stations and media stations do that, so I ain’t mad at SLAM for that! However, I just looked at 25 pictures of EURO camp photos and I have no idea what a single one of those players’ name is.

In response to the previous comment: His name is Jonas Zohore.

Correction: I thought I was commenting on a single picture, not the whole collection. The guy I was refering to can be seen on picture #6 and #7.

(feel free to merge my two comments)
