SLAMonline PSA: New Commenting System

Yo all. As you can probably see, the site is going through some minor changes, including the obvious and long overdue upgrade to the commenting system. As a result, it’ll appear as though all comments from the past have disappeared; they haven’t, they’re just taking a little while (a couple of days at the most) to transfer over because there were so many of them. All of this is an effort to better the commenting system that so many of you have complained about in recent months, so hopefully a few minor kinks in the beginning will be worth the soon-to-be new and improved SLAMonline. Stay with us.

Thanks!

The best thing about this: you aren’t forced to log on with a social media account. Thanks for retaining the anonymity of the internet!

Did it come off as an argument? I apologize, not at all my intention, was just making an observation

  • shutup

I noticed that as well, so I voted up all of the comments not made by me.

Well I do my work stuff first then comment as I do the stuff that takes waiting. Like a phone call or something along those lines. I am productive.

Hey SLAM, I don’t know if this problem is just at my work but here goes. Sometimes when I try to type it says my computer is not compatible for Disqus and that I need Internet Explorer 9. But because its the work computer, I can’t just simply upgrade it. But the strange thing is…sometimes when I come on it’s fine and doesn’t block me and I can type fine like right now. Any ideas?

I’m not the tech wiz but all of us had been pushing the web guys to improve the commenting system for several months. Glad the feedback has been so positive.

  • Darksaber

Well done, sir. Count me back in as one who will participate more in these discussions.
