Basketball Art Gallery ‘In The Paint’ Kicks Off This Weekend in Boston (UPDATED)

A cool event for those of you in the Beantown area.

Beginning this weekend, Cleveland-based blog Double Scribble will present IN THE PAINT: A CELEBRATION OF ART AND BASKETBALL, an art show featuring the work of artists from both the Boston area and around the country. The multimedia show will take place at Voltage Coffee and Art in Cambridge, MA, and, according to a release, will “not only explore the passion and strong sense of community that unites fans and players, but will also allow non-fans to experience the unique ‘love of the game’ that basketball inspires.” Opening night (April 19) is sold out, but the show will take place through June 2—those of you located in or near Boston can hit up Voltage to peep the gallery through May 18. Check out IN THE PAINT‘s website for more details.

UPDATE: After the tragedy in Boston last week, the opening of the gallery was pushed back until this coming Friday, April 26. Here’s the updated link for tickets.
