James Madison’s Court Receives A Makeover (PHOTOS)

Normally, when a mid-major team that lost in the first round of the NCAA Tournament lays down a new court design, it isn’t exactly huge news. Of course, not every team puts in the design that James Madison put in earlier today.
The Dukes, who went 21-15 last year and qualified for the Big Dance by winning the CAA tournament, laid down new graphics that is as subtle as a tornado. The team’s logo, which was previously at center court, is now on opposite ends of the court. Replacing it in the center is a “JMU” graphic.
From The Washington Post:
By now you’ve surely seen at least the mock-up photos of the school’s new basketball court design. Well, on Thursday, the athletic department sent out photos of the real thing, along with several video clips showing the making of the court. It’s every bit as subtle and understated as the mock-ups suggested.
While it may not be as iconic as the old Charlotte Hornets court, James Madison’s court is absolutely one to remember.
