AAU Finally Meets Rucker Park

Entertainer’s Basketball Classic (EBC) has become sanctioned to host the first-ever outdoor AAU Tournament at the Rucker Park.

    Not sure what good will come out from hosting AAU events at the Rucker. It kind of doesn’t fit in with these kids trying to get a scholarship to college playing the game the correct way.

    @ Chocolate: Rucker is the venue, the AAU concept will not change–i.e. the tournament will provide the athletes with exposure from college coaches and scouts alike. This will not be a rendition of the And 1 Mix Tape Tour, rather an opportunity for teams around the metropolitan area and country to play on a legendary patch of asphalt that once hosted Dr. J, Wilt, Connie, Kareem, Kobe, and dozens of other former and current NBA greats. It’s bringing AAU outdoors for 1 weekend a year, in front of a raucous crowd.
