Pee Wee Kirkland always focused on the streets.

A Legend, but at the same time a waste of talent. What he could have done in the league…

This was a fantastic piece. Can’t believe that was SLAM 70. Seemed long ago. Great photos, too.

Grew up around Pee Wee. He was a great ball player. He could have went pro but that drug money was more appealing. He had a camp that my sons attended at Riverbank Park that preached education. Not sure if it’s still there. My son got his first trophy there. The trophy was bigger than him. My other son won a computer.Hope Pee Wee is doing fine.

I grew up around Pee Wee. He was a ball playing dude. Not to long ago he had a basketball camp my sons used to go to that preached education. My youngest son got his first trophy there. The trophy was bigger than him. My other son won a computer. It was at Riverbank State Park on 145 street in manhattan. don’t know if it’s still there. Hope Pee Wee is doing fine.

Remember the article. Nice one in a series you did on the Streetball Legends. When rolls Billy ‘The Kid’ Harris around again? Together with Pee Wee one of the überballers who headed for the ‘wrong’ direction (as far as I can judge this…)
