Sun Take Tina Charles with First Pick

Like all drafts, the WNBA Draft has been full of surprises, but Tina Charles going No. 1 wasn’t one: “On Thursday, a team reinventing itself after missing the playoffs for the first time in history, used their first-ever overall pick to take the draft’s only true made-to-order player, UConn center Tina Charles. But that’s not all. Before the second round was done, the Sun had also traded for Nebraska’s Kelsey Griffin, another consensus first-team All-American, and drafted Kansas guard/forward Danielle McCray (seventh overall) and LSU sharpshooter Allison Hightower (second round, 15th overall).”

Tina’s a beast. No doubt she deserves this.

The hoopla over Maya Moore will be out of this world though. And really she’s good enough to justify it. If UConn goes undefeated again, we’ve got to seriously consider her as one of the games’ best. Ever. Can’t wait to see her go against Candice Parker!

Who cares, SLAM you need an article about the trade of Cappie to NEW YORK, about time, now she can do her own thing and not get put behind ball hog Taruasi. Cappie the best player in WNBA!!!

Yo, look, I’ll dunk on a lady, man, for real. Nah, but truthfully, Tina Charles is a load of potential. The Sun got a real good player.

The sun went to work during this draft…Did Stern have his sneaky hand in this? lol. The Sun will indeed shine again this season once they gel..
