Swin Cash Joins the SLAM Family

WNBA champion and All-Star debuts Cash Beyond Borders.

by Swin Cash / @swincash

It’s a fact – there is no other basketball outlet on the planet that gives you better WNBA coverage than SLAM Magazine and SLAMonline. We already have Alana Beard and Candice Wiggins giving you fresh perspectives straight from the athlete’s themselves…and now we’ve added WNBA superstar Swin Cash to the mix.

Swin Cash has a global brand that encompasses more than just basketball and her blog will be no different. You’ll get stories from Swin you won’t find anywhere else; journal entries, overseas game recaps, social and political commentary, and hilarious takes on the hectic life of a women’s professional basketball player.

We’ve said it before – Swin Cash embodies class and excellence. We couldn’t be more excited to have her join the SLAM team. – Ben Y.

I would like to start off this exciting announcement by wishing all of my family, friends and supporters a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I hope everyone has a blessedSwin Cash holiday season and enjoys this time with their loved ones!

This announcement is a perfect way to cap off what has been an unbelievable 2010 for me. It started in the same place I am currently writing to you (China) and continued with an amazing championship run with the Seattle Storm for my third WNBA championship and first with the Seattle Storm. With no time to waste, I hopped on a flight to Czech Republic where I was chosen to compete with Team USA for the FIBA Championship. We captured the gold medal going undefeated at the games.

As I return to China for a second season I wanted to find a way to better connect with all my fans both back in the States and globally. As I racked my brain for the best way to connect with you all I was presented with a fantastic opportunity that was too good to pass up.

I have been chosen to blog for SLAMonline! SLAM has been synonymous with basketball for a majority of the decade and provides a great platform to interact with you all. My first post will be up and running before the end of the year and I can’t wait for you all to see what I have in store for you these coming months.

Check back early and often as I plan to post and interact with you through your questions and comments throughout my season in China and beyond.

I am very proud to present to you Cash Beyond Borders.
